AIRFORCE Festival wint rechtszaak en gaat dus door
4 augustus 2016
Dinsdag meldden we dat er een rechtszaak was aangespannen tegen de organisatie van AIRFORCE omdat er zeldzame vleermuizen op het terrein waren aangetroffen. Vandaag diende de zaak en AIRFORCE heeft gewonnen: 'Wij waren er altijd al van overtuigd en zojuist heeft de Rechter het bevestigd. Art of Dance en Absolutely Fresh openen zaterdag aanstaande de poorten van Luchtmachtbasis Twenthe voor de eerste editie van AIRFORCE Festival!' 10
Twee natuurorganisaties slepen de organisator van een groot dance-evenement bij Enschede voor de rechter omdat de dreunende beats een aanslag vormen op het leefklimaat van een aantal zeldzame dieren, waaronder de vale vleermuis. Het gaat om de eerste editie van het AIRFORCE Festival, dat komend weekend wordt gehouden op het terrein van de vroegere Vliegbasis Twenthe. Aangezien er intussen al zo'n 10.000 kaarten zijn verkocht, dreigt voor de organisatie een financiële dreun. 29

Het onmogelijke wordt realiteit deze zomer: op 6 augustus combineren Art of Dance en Absolutely Fresh hun expertise voor het nieuwe event AIRFORCE Festival. Dit nieuwe concept zal plaatsvinden op militaire vliegbasis Twenthe in Enschede. Verspreid over zes area's zullen hardcore, raw-hardstyle, freestyle en andere hardcore-subgenres vertegenwoordigd zijn. Hangars, een enorme strip, bunkers, wrede oorlogsgebieden, radartorens en nog veel meer zullen onderdeel zijn van het 'slagveld' tijdens AIRFORCE Festival. 15
Art of Dance & Absolutely Fresh vormen een 'sonic alliance' voor een nieuw, hard festival! De locatie is een unieke in Nederland, maar de exacte naam en waar het precies zal plaatsvinden, blijft een vraag. 17

Absolutely Fresh en AOD zetten toch altijd goed georganiseerde feestjes neer. Genoeg interessante namen, dus gewoon een kijkje nemen

De meest interessante naam van de hele zooi: [KRTM]. De overige boeiende namen zijn voor mij op 1 hand te tellen: Promo, The Outside Agency, Innominate en Ophidian. Zo 'soundbreaking' is de line-up nu ook weer niet, just sayin'

Benieuwd naar dit concept en welke genres er komen. Neem aan dat Unity, net als op Fantasy, een stage gaat hosten? Locatie lijkt mij wel tof, maar zal wel overdag zijn, want ja... Nederland hé
Naja, de locatie is behoorlijk veruit de richting van de "bewoonde wereld", plus het feit dat het op een redelijk afgelegen vliegveld is. geluidsoverlast is best lastig. maar het is idd wel overdag ja. er is helaas nog maar 1 Nederlands nachtfestival zover ik weet....
