The Earthquake festival which represents a large piece of the harder house styles has made quite a journey already in Germany. Since 2006 cities like Köln, Duisburg, Oberhausen and Bochum have been the centre for this event.
Many of you will have the EQ festival being held at 29-08-2009 in Oberhausen fresh in their memories. An in & outdoor event not to be forgotten. In 2010 another indoor edition was added to the list in another historical location in Bochum, which has changed owners in the mean while.

Saturday August 27th Bochum will rumble again. The former Tarm Center at the Rombacher Hütte 6-10 in Bochum will be transformed exclusively for all the hardcore & techno lovers into one of the most adequate indoor hardcore locations in Germany. Not long ago a huge alteration has taken place and there has even been build some extra room attached to the mainarea! A total of 4400m2 of party space. Saturday August 27th 2011 the gates will open for Earthquake – the indoor hardcore festival 2011. Divided over 4 indoor areas and 1 outdoor area (with swimming pool) the international top from the hardcore scene will be invited. In a 12 hours long lasting marathon almost every harder house style will be represented. Time to give a summary from all the last facts and updates:

Extra Chill out(door) area
The special outdoor area with swimming pool will function as a unique chill out place where with a relaxed sound level the “History of House” will be presented in a 5 hour non stop lasting dj set from DJ Stanton (Rotterdam - Parkzicht). There’s probably no one else who can tell this musical story like this man!

Ticket information & doorsale
Tickets are available through the familiar channels in Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy and the rest of Europe. Regular Tickets cost €32,50 ex fee.
You can buy your ticket in Germany through CTS/https://partyflock.nl/order_ticket/203721 and partytickets.de. In The Netherlands at the Free Record shops and all Primera shops. In Belgium at https://partyflock.nl/order_ticket/203721 and at the Free Record shops. As usual all regular UHM presale points in will be supplied with hardcopy tickets. E-tickets are sold cheap and easy through the UHM webshop (www.u-h-m.com/E-tickets.asp). For our late deciders there will be doorsale within a limited amount!

VIP Tickets (all In)
A limited amount of VIP tickets are still available also. Just like last year you can eat and drink all night long for free. If that’s not enough you will receive a poster and cd with the EQ Ep release. This time the whole second floor in the main area (with balcony) will officiate as VIP area.
VIP tickets cost € 85,- ex fee and are only available at the UHM ticketshop and via Partytickets.de as E Ticket. For the German guests who want to be VIP and want to travel with Vrr/Vrs the organization advises to buy a regular ticket including Vrr/Vrs via https://partyflock.nl/order_ticket/203721 and than upgrade your ticket in the UHM ticket shop (52,50 ex fee) to VIP. This also will save you a huge amount of reservation costs. This upgrade is also available for everyone who have already bought a normal ticket, but later decides to want to go VIP. But remember, it’s necessary you bring both your normal ticket plus your upgrade ticket both to the event! Otherwise no entry!



Vinyl & CD release on Rotterdam Records!
Imitative of this event there will be a vinyl release. Despite the difficult times for the vinylmarket, still the vinyl is sacred for the real lovers. So for them UHM has collaborated with Rotterdam Records so this vinyl can happen and so it is presented at Rotterdam Records.
This release (Catnr: ROT118) contains 3 top productions from partnerships between several UHM artists/producers and the official Earthquake anthem which has been made by the German hardcore producer D-Ceptor. A unique produced anthem totally in the atmosphere and style from this Earthquake edition. Without a doubt this anthem will come crushing down on you a couple of times! As for the other 3 tracks Mr Sinister, Newstyler and D-Ceptor have once again made the best out of each other together with Triax. Result: 3 cracking mainstyle tracks which will have a high entry in the charts!
The digital release will be offered on Monday August the 22nd exclusively at www.dancetunes.nl, www.hardtunes.com, www.trackitdown.net and www.junodownload.com.
The vinyl will be available already (!!!) during the event exclusively at the UHM merchandise stand and after that exclusively via the Midtown Shop (www.midtownshop.nl).

But that’s not all!! Rotterdam Records will also present a 2-CD compilation. Our own UHM residents have put all their energy in these mixes this time. After his very successful first album release at the beginning of this year he will also present his first official mix CD. A mix totally in Triax style with a surprisingly varying tracklist which contains experimental hardcore till mainstyle and industrial till uptempo hardcore! The 2nd CD has been done by the German gentlemen D-Ceptor & Newstyler. A new milestone in their careers as hardcore artists. You can expect tip of the top mainstyle hardcore! A superior mix with a perfect tracklist which you don’t want to shut off. The CD (Catnr: ROT78) will also be available already during the event exclusively at the UHM merchandise stand and after that exclusively via the Midtown Distribution at the well known cd stores.

Merchandise!
Traditionally a very special Earthquake T-Shirt has been designed with on 2 sides a full colour print + and an extra print at the sleeve. Furthermore 2 new cool Spanish fans with the artwork from this event have been designed also. And another “most wanted” product is of course the Mega Abri poster, from which are only 100 pieces in stock. The event shirt, Spanish fans and huge posters are all available during this eve, in limited amounts at the UHM merchandise stand. It’s obvious that all other merchandise from Raving Nightmare, Earthquake and Proud 2 Be Hardcore are also present at the UHM stand! One little give away: during this event some spectacular sale prices will be offered! Sold out = sold out!

Other important info
•At the entry every visitor will receive a flyer with a map of the grounds and timetable, so you know when and where your favorite deejay is playing.
•Op dit evenement zal de organisatie kluisjes inzetten waardoor er ook hier kluisjes gehuurd kunnen worden om je spullen en/of jassen op te bergen. Je komt de kluisjes en balie tegen op het einde van de entreehal van de Locatie aan de linkerzijde. Probeer zoveel mogelijk samen met vrienden een kluisje te huren zodat je de huurprijs kan delen en dus kosten kan besparen.
•During this event you can only pay with coin strips at the bars. So no obliged card system in contrast with some other locations in Germany.
• Another tip: everyone is obliged to have your ID with them. Nothing other at this event! So please make sure you bring it to prevent any discussions with security or authority if you want to enter.
•Soft and harddrugs are forbidden, also in Germany! This is nothing new.
• Afterwards the first UHM Magazine of 2011 will be available, it will be the 18th edition already!! This time an A4 booklet with all new partyinfo! So don’t miss it.




Shuttlebus, Transport, Route and parking
For those who come with their own transportation, the location is easily found with any navigation system. At the A40 take exit 32 (Bochum-Stalhausen) and follow Bochum-Weitmar.
There’s enough parking space and check this: it’s FREE!
For our public transport people: a shuttle bus will drive to and from the location every half hour from the central station Bochum. Or take line 308/318 to Hattingen Mitte or Bochum Dahlhausen untill the Kohlenstrasse or Rombacher Hütte 6-8.
