Tense

Robert Amar, aka Bobby Tense, has been spinning records for over 15 years with a musical style that has progressed from: hip hop and rap to hardcore and speedcore techno. After first tasting "heavy metal" sounding techno, Tense went on a mission searching the techno stores for this new brutal style of techno that would, in the next few years, control the underground NYC rave scene.

During this time, Tense collaborated with Tyrant and AXYS-DEZA under the name "F.U.H.D.", and released work on the most well-known of hardcore labels– Industrial Strength. This was quickly followed by a release on the subsidiary label Bastard Loud. Tense was then invited to play in Newcastle, England which would be his first overseas DJ gig but certainly not the last. In 2000 he, Tyrant and Nevermind (a.k.a. Hellz Army) launched Apocalypse Recordings.

Since Apocalypse Records has come out, Bobby Tense has continued playing internationally, and has had many tracks released on labels such as Industrial Strength, Low Res Records, N.E. Tunes, C.U.N.T. & Speedboat, just to name a few.
