Chef'Special

Since forming in their hometown of the Netherlands in 2008, Chef'Special has released three albums, toured extensively and rapidly build a fanbase across Europe who instantly gravitated to the band's unique blend of hip-hop, rock and reggae. Now the band is in the middle of their Stateside assault showcasing to American audiences what all the fuss has been about with this highly buzzed-about five-piece.

Although Chef'Special started out being influenced by acts like The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Rage Against The Machine, they found that the more time they spent on the road, the more their sound developed sounding universally appealing to listeners all over the world. That's especially true when it comes to the breakout single "In Your Arms" from Chef'Special's 2014 second album Passing Through, which has already gone triple platinum.

Another huge part of Chef'Special's success is their legendary live performances in which the audience is just as vital to the experience as the band themselves.

"We essentially just want to expel a lot of positive energy and get it back from whoever we're playing for, so in that sense the live show is the most important thing to us. That's the only way that you can see how you're connecting with people in a totally raw and tangible way."
