Zaterdag 18 februari - Het décor van een radioshow die wereldwijd door ongeveer 35 miljoen mensen beluisterd wordt en de gastheer van de avond een van de grootste DJ’s ter wereld is. Als dat niet genoeg is om ons naar de Jaarbeurs te trekken zijn er genoeg stages met even indrukwekkende namen om de line-up te completeren.
Aangekomen op de parkeerplaats van de Jaarbeurs verbaasde ik me weer over de hoeveelheid mensen van buiten Nederland. De touringcars vanuit Frankrijk, Polen en Duitsland stroomden leeg met mensen die gezien de stemming al een aardige pre-party in de bus hadden gehad. Op de parkeerplaats ontstonden bij wat auto’s met open deuren wat plaatselijke feestjes, alles onder het genot van de eerste trance-tunes van de avond. Mooi om te zien wat de trancemuziek weer te weeg weet te brengen en mensen vanuit heel Europa doet komen om te genieten van een avond muziek.

De eerste namen van de line-up van A State of Trance op 18 februari 2017 in de Jaarbeurs in Utrecht zijn bekend. De vijfmaal nr #1 DJ van de wereld Armin van Buuren zal het podium delen met onder meer Berg, Bryan Kearney en Denis Kenzo. Voor Berg en Denis Kenzo is het hun debuut bij A State of Trance. Daarnaast zal Armin groots uitpakken met een speciale vinyl set. Komende weken worden er meer namen bekend gemaakt.

Kaartjes binnen, mooiste feestje van het jaar 
Ik zou zeggen; 1 mainstage met wat meer mainstream muziek, 1 psy/tech/138 zaal, 1 classics zaal en 1 zaal met wat meer de progressive-, anjuna- en pure trance achtige sound. Voor ieder wat wils. Maar dat zal wel nooit gebeuren denk ik.
Waarom zou dat nooit gebeuren???
Afgelopen jaar was de Main behoorlijk "Mainstream", de 2e area is 15 Years and Counting en nee dat zijn niet alleen maar Classics maar ik heb ze zeker voorbij horen komen, de 3e Area was 138 en volgens mij was dat behoorlijk 138/psy en tech, alleen de I'm In A State Of Trance was met de zijn "poppiejopie" dj's een voor mij tegenvallende zaal.
Volgens mij hebben ze elk jaar wel voor ieder wat wils, en met een Anjunabeats tent op EF hebben ze helaas de plank flink mis geslagen. Die tent is alleen met Cosmic Gate gevuld gewest.
Dus ik zou zeggen.... Houd gewoon lekker vast een het concept waar ze al jaren aan vast houden, zorg voor de juiste dj's in de main dan blijf ik daar wel hangen.
Dat geloop naar andere stages haalt mij toch altijd uit het sfeertje!
Vorig jaar was de Anjuna tent juist vol. We zijn een wisselvallig volk

En jawel, weer van de partij. Tickets in huis.....deze fuif wil je niet missen...

1000% aanwezig !! Ik vind alles goed zo lang DASH BERLIN er maar bij is. Vriendinnetje gaat voor t eerst mee naar trance dus dat word voor haar een hele mooie ervaring op dit super feest

david guetta. de 1 vind het briljant de ander meer dan waardeloos. ik weet wel dat als beide weer in nl optreden de zaal weer ramvol zal staan.
O dat geloof ik ook meteen, twijfelloos, maar deze heren, en zeker Guetta, hebben (inmiddels) een totaal ander publiek dan dat op ASOT afkomt. Ok, ASOT ondergaat ook wel eens kleine richtingsveranderingen, en dat is ook goed, maar de basis blijft toch wat door de jaren heen in de ASOT radio shows door AvB is opgebouwd.
Ik moet ook wel eerlijk bekennen dat ik persoonlijk erg goede herinneringen heb aan Dash Berlin want ik heb tijdens zijn optreden bij asot de love of my life leren kennen.
Tja, dan ben ik stil want wat is er mooier dan dat..
Met een glimlach en een grap kan ik dan beweren dat je tijdens zijn set zoveel tijd en aandacht over had dat je je op andere zaken kon concentreren en dat pakte super uit.. Maar wie er ook draait op ASOT, het wordt altijd een ongeëvenaard feest, en met 4 erea's kan je iedereen ontwijken...en ontmoeten, die je maar wil..
Ik plaag je maar een beetje maar deze vind ik toch wel leuk:
