Paradigm

The opening of Paradigm in the summer of 2011 was celebrated with the first edition of Technootjes Festival in and around the former grain storage housing the new nightclub. Connecting over 2500 partypeople and an internationally-renowned program headlining Tobi Neumann, Nick Curly and Sascha Fünke, made the festival one of the most well received festivals of the season amongst both visitors and artists.

Despite being situated in the rural Northern part of the Netherlands, Paradigm soon established herself as the new hotspot for the Dutch techno and house scene by inviting a wide variety of artists over the first months and continuing to do so. Innovative concepts, like 'Sunday Afternoon Collective', were set-up to provide partypeople with the full hedonistic dancefloor experience and gave local DJ's a stage to perform alongside established names like Shaun Reeves, Dinky, Minilogue and Kollektiv Turmstrasse.

The unique location of Paradigm at the edge of an industrial site, was discovered by a small group of dance music enthusiasts during their extensive search for a place large enough to fit their ambitions. Now, the once abandoned storage facility is transformed to an important cultural breeding ground, stimulating nightlife and performing arts in the region and abroad.

The industrial face of Paradigm and open-minded approach to club culture gave the city of Groningen a tremendous boost, resulting in the city being widely recognized as the up-and-coming place for the electronic music scene.

For the future, Paradigm will continue to bring people together by organizing forward-thinking dance parties and hosting cultural events in both the mainroom and the infamous "Trouwzaal", unremittingly fueled by high quality music and a one of kind ecstatic atmosphere.
