A State of Trance Festival · verslag door Noadja
Zaterdag 18 februari - Het décor van een radioshow die wereldwijd door ongeveer 35 miljoen mensen beluisterd wordt en de gastheer van de avond een van de grootste DJ’s ter wereld is. Als dat niet genoeg is om ons naar de Jaarbeurs te trekken zijn er genoeg stages met even indrukwekkende namen om de line-up te completeren.
Aangekomen op de parkeerplaats van de Jaarbeurs verbaasde ik me weer over de hoeveelheid mensen van buiten Nederland. De touringcars vanuit Frankrijk, Polen en Duitsland stroomden leeg met mensen die gezien de stemming al een aardige pre-party in de bus hadden gehad. Op de parkeerplaats ontstonden bij wat auto’s met open deuren wat plaatselijke feestjes, alles onder het genot van de eerste trance-tunes van de avond. Mooi om te zien wat de trancemuziek weer te weeg weet te brengen en mensen vanuit heel Europa doet komen om te genieten van een avond muziek.

De eerste namen van de line-up van A State of Trance op 18 februari 2017 in de Jaarbeurs in Utrecht zijn bekend. De vijfmaal nr #1 DJ van de wereld Armin van Buuren zal het podium delen met onder meer Berg, Bryan Kearney en Denis Kenzo. Voor Berg en Denis Kenzo is het hun debuut bij A State of Trance. Daarnaast zal Armin groots uitpakken met een speciale vinyl set. Komende weken worden er meer namen bekend gemaakt.

Kan je beter (als het in je planning past uiteraard) de pre party pakken die om 16:00 begint, door naar asot en om 6:00 naar huis als je de mogelijkheid heb met vervoer.
Die weten we nog niet zeker, omdat we nog met een groep rustig gaan tafelen en eten, anders had ik hem wel gedaan denk ik

Denk dat dat ook de voornaamste reden voor de meeste is en mooi mee genomen, lekker warm met een stukje muziek en bier nummer??
Komende editie zijn we het hele weekend in Utrecht dus weet niet of ik om 6:00 in de taxi stap met mijn partner of toch nog ff de after party mee pak met de groep en dan de bus in.
Ligt er aan hoe we er aan toe zijn na de pre party en asot.

Met een pré party heb ik heb gevoel dat de eerste "euforie' beleefd wordt op de pré, en juist dat gevoel wil ik op ASOT zelf. Zeker met de 138 en psy stage...
Geen pré dus voor ons....
Eigenlijk zou Vini-Vici de tent van 05:30 tot 07:00u moeten leegrammen iedereen in de main nog even uit zijn plaat...
Ik denk weer even aan zijn closing set tijdens Transmission het vorig jaar.... love it...wat een vibe daar door de arena..ongekend...

Als dat zo makkelijk zou kunnen graag, maar ik denk dat ik je bij voorbaat de teleurstelling kan besparen dat dat dus niet gaat gebeuren.
Maar wie weet wat Armin nog in petto heeft, misschien gaat hij wel een uurtje langer door om vorig jaar voor zijn gevoel recht te trekken?
Als je de vergunning opzoekt dan weet je hoe laat je buiten staan.

Ben wel benieuwd naar de TT van de main. Staan 8 DJ's nu en Armin draait twee sets. Dat geeft iedereen maar een uur per set, 9 sets in 9 uur..
