Carlos Valdes

Carlos Valdes has been at the heart of the Amsterdam scene for years, as a DJ, label boss and promoter. He organises his own gay club nights together with Sandrien under the name Is Burning. Calros' DJ sets mix up everything from hypnotic techno to kicking house and, rather than playing all the big hits, he selects the records that make most sense at the time. He is well known for his classy and considered taste.

Carlos has earned a fine reputation in his own country, around Europe and also outside the continent. He was one of the residents at Amsterdams foremost club, TrouwAmsterdam. Carlos is also a resident for LET, one of Amsterdams leading party organizations. Over the years he has played esteemed clubs like Panorama bar, Robert Johnson and Concrete. And festivals such as Awakenings and Nachtdigital. He was invited at label nights such as Cadenza and Dekmantel and he performed at Circo Loco. He went outside of Europe to perform at the infamous D-Edge, in Sao Paulo in Brasil.
