Biografie
Emerging from a quaint village in England, Aaron Hibell has quickly become one of the most compelling new voices in electronic music. His journey began with a pivotal decision: leaving university to dedicate himself fully to music production. Drawing inspiration from classical compositions and orchestral arrangements, Aaron started crafting tracks from his bedroom, located in a picturesque area a few hours north of London. His deep passion for sound design soon propelled him into the UK music scene, where he collaborated with some of Europe's top artists as a producer and songwriter.
Aaron's debut mixtape, Monastery of Sound (2021), introduced his innovative fusion of orchestral elements with electronic beats. The 11-track project, initially exclusive to SoundCloud, resonated widely, earning him a devoted following. Building on its success, he released two subsequent mixtapes, further refining his distinctive sonic identity.
The year 2023 proved pivotal for Hibell's career. He co-created the original motion picture soundtrack for Tetris, a critically acclaimed film that premiered at SXSW, working alongside Scottish composer and Grammy winner Lorne Balfe. This achievement was followed by standout remixes for artists like Jamie Irrepressible and Naomi Sharon, both of which gained traction in clubs across Europe and North America, solidifying his reputation as a producer with global appeal.
In the fall, Hibell launched his debut EP, Twilight Zone, through his newly established label, all-time high. The project featured a reimagined track by renowned Swedish composer Ludwig Göransson, which caught the attention of Pete Tong's label, FFRR Records. Shortly thereafter, Aaron closed out a Boiler Room London session alongside French techno maestro Trym, further cementing his status in the underground scene.
2024 saw Hibell's sophomore EP, Astral Projection, showcase his evolving artistry. A key highlight was his collaboration with Felsmann + Tiley, the acclaimed synthesizer duo celebrated for their work with M83. This project underscored Aaron's ability to seamlessly blend cinematic and electronic influences, earning him acclaim for his bold approach to sound design.
Hibell's work is a captivating hybrid of techno, trance, house, and classical music, offering listeners a rich and dynamic sonic experience. His tracks have been championed by industry heavyweights such as Martin Garrix, Adriatique, Kevin de Vries, Amelie Lens, I Hate Models, ARTBAT, Chris Avantgarde, and Alignment, reflecting the growing influence of his sound on the global stage.
With a fearless approach to pushing boundaries, Aaron Hibell continues to redefine what's possible in modern electronic music, solidifying his place as a force to watch.
