Grotesque Indoor Festival last details & timetable

Na drie jaar lang gedreven te hebben gezaaid oogstte PT Events zeer succesvol tijdens het derde jubileum van Grotesque. Het vierde jaar is inmiddels ook weer voorbij gevlogen met uitverkochte clubnacht edities en volle stages op Electronic Family, Ultrasonic-, Summerlake- en Nature One Festival. 2013 is nu al een succesvol Grotesque-jaar en dat, terwijl het leukste nog gaat komen... 6
Met de vierde jubileumeditie van Grotesque voor de boeg begint het hart van tranceminnend Nederland sneller te kloppen. De karakteristieke Rotterdamse Maassilo is op zaterdag 19 oktober weer het decor van het Grotesque Indoor Festival. 1
Zaterdag 19 oktober mag met rode stift in de agenda worden genoteerd. Na het sensationele succes van vorig jaar komt PT Events dit jaar keihard terug met de tweede editie van het Grotesque Indoor Festival en wederom is de Rotterdamse Maassilo beschikbaar voor op zijn minst een evenaring van het spektakel in 2012. 6

The clubnight Grotesque has in just a few short years become one of the more influential nights on the scene. Their very own Indoor Festival is adding yet another exciting chapter to the success story and the organisation seems unlikely to stop the happy ending just there!
So what makes Grotesque so special?? Grotesque has always tried to distinguish themselves by catering to the clubbers’ ultimate perception of enjoyment. They spend extra time and energy on those little details that make their clubbing experience stand out from the rest. Experiencing a Grotesque night will leave you with that wonderful ‘so it can be that good’ feeling.

The Maassilo in Rotterdam, grandiose but still intimate! PT Events has always searched for exceptional locations in order to give their parties that intimate feeling on a large scale. The Maassilo was certainly put through it’s paces during the packed-out success that was the Indoor Festival of 2012. Not only was the location perfect, the staff at the Maassilo really added to the mixture of like-minded clubbers. PT Events are convinced that this stunning location will yet again be perfect for the Grotesque Indoor Festival 2013. The 100-yer old grain silo exudes a tangible robustness from it’s engine rooms, bringing an authentically personal vibe to it’s large open spaces.
Grotesque will bring the true festival spirit to the indoor arena with lots of entertainment and other things to spark your senses, aside from the music. In The Maassilo everyone is free to build their own unique festival experience. Take a sneak peek at the super cool Buddha Lounge, completely furnished by www.Milovito.com, a true specialist in glass mosaics. We will again be hosting the Oxygen Bar 3D Experience, and there will be an exciting new feature this year. The sights and sounds that flow through the special 3D glasses will be streamed direct from the DJ booth in the main stage, allowing you to experience exactly what it’s like to be the DJ. A totally new element in the Oxygen Bar and well worth a try!!
The festival feeling, great, but the party still needs to lift the roof! Absolutely! Grotesque is gonna be banging! This year there will be no less than 4 big rooms for the many faces of music which will make up the festival. That means there truly will be something for everyone. Of course, there will be two big rooms with headline acts such as Aly&Fila, Orjan Nilsen, Shogun en Richard Durand. But you will also get to see other aspects of the Dance music genre that make it so great.
Taste the festival atmosphere with the sultry vibes in the House area or let yourself go crazy to one of the 140bpm Trance giants, this year with their very own area for all those that love the harder side of trance. The Grotesque Indoor Festival 2013 will also play host to a dazzling array of market stalls, the perfect place to rummage around and find a special something to remind you of this unique festival experience.

RAMs Memoriam set for his wife Amelia! Probably not many people have missed the terrible news about the sudden passing of Rams wife Amelia, last Saturday. Only one tough week later, Ram is determined to perform and focus on his own Indoor Festival where he will dedicate a special dj-set to his wife Amelia. This tragic happening won't have much consequences for the Indoor Festival, only the dresscode will be changed to "White". Dresscodes are always a wish from the organisation; it will never be a restriction.

wauwwwwww...heb er dit jaar toch aardig wat feestjes opzitten, maar dit feest was voor mij de absolute topper van het jaar......RAM zooooo mooi dit emotionele gebaar.....verders allemaal top dj's kon je goed merken en echt iedereen inclusief wij stonden de hele avond/nacht te dansen......en dan die locatie...zooo sfeervol...n oud gebouw maar van binnen zoooo gezellig.....kan niet wachten op een volgend feest hier van jullie...organisatie;TOP!!

Leuk feestje. Niet heel veel bijzondere sets gehoord. In de Boiler Room werd (uiteraard) wel lekker gedraaid! Geluid in de Maassilo blijft (helaas) niet om over naar huis te schrijven. Vorig jaar vond ik persoonlijk beter.
Ook hier een topavond gehad! helden van de avond waren toch echt MaRLo en Andrew Rayel voor mij, wat kunnen die gasten draaien zeg!!!

geluid was zeker beter dan vorig jaar maar wel erg hard, ik heb maar een paar uurtjes mee gepakt maar lekkere setjes gehoord.

Zo jammer dat gerook door iedereen, weer een gat in mn jurk gebrand door één of andere klojo! "Sorry" zij hij, jurkje ligt nu in de prullenbak

Partypeople!!! Bedankt voor een vette nacht...... Allemaal lekker chill en relaxed. Fijne sets gehoord. De een wat beter dan de ander. Blijft een kwestie van smaak...... 
Geluid blijft een lastig dingetje in een betonnen blokkendoos als de Maassilo.
Verder prima overnachting gehad in het hotel tegenover de locatie! Nog geen 5 min lopen. Erg handig op de terugweg.

Beneden in de boilerroom viel er nog wel wat te zweven! En voor zo ver ik weet is roken in de maassilo nooit verboden geweest. Rook zelf ook maar doe dat niet in de drukte of als ik aan het lopen ben. Kwestie van fatsoen van de roker, sommige mensen missen dat helaas

Vond het top feestje, jaren terug regelmatig in de maassilo geweest bij awakenings feestjes. Blijft een top locatie, ik snap het gezeur over het geluid niet zo eigenlijk.... het was lang geleden dat we zolang op een feestje zijn gebleven (half 6), dus dat zegt genoeg!

Helaas was de beveiliging op het evenement ook aan het roken in de zaal.

Heerlijke avond. Iemand enig idee welke plaat Ram draaide met tekst my baby my baaaaby? Duidelijker kan ik het niet maken haha.
Misschien voor ons iets om op te letten een volgende keer. Zou 'The Smoking Room' een oplossing bieden? Een zaal waar ook dj's staan en waar wel gerookt 'mag' worden? We horen graag jullie reacties! En alle begrip voor diegene die het vervelend vonden. Gelukkig horen we vooral veel positieve reacties!

Die draaide namelijk Above & Beyond - Good for me
Weer een fantastische editie van Grotesque Indor met voor mij toch het muzikale hoogepunt van Mark Sixma & Andrew Rayel.
Set van Ram erg emotioneel en erg mooi.
Ook geweldig om te zien dat er zoveel bordje met de tekst forever love waren en velen gedachte hebben aan licht in de duisternis.
Respect voor Ram!
Springen op zn dj booth zoals hij dat altijd doet! Respect!
Misschien voor ons iets om op te letten een volgende keer. Zou 'The Smoking Room' een oplossing bieden? Een zaal waar ook dj's staan en waar wel gerookt 'mag' worden? We horen graag jullie reacties! En alle begrip voor diegene die het vervelend vonden. Gelukkig horen we vooral veel positieve reacties!
'The Smoking Room' is een idee en ik denk dat het geen uitkomst zal bieden. Als je net lekker in de muziek zit, loop je niet ff de zaal uit om een peuk te roken aan de andere kant vh pand. De beveiliging instrueren om de roker vriendelijk te vragen de peuk ergens anders (buiten) op te roken of m uit te doen, zou misschien beter werken.

.. prachtige collage. Hier nog een filmpje van een mooi moment tijdens Paul Webster! Ruim 2 Heerlijke uurtjes gehad daar beneden vanaf Darren Porter tot het einde en vond het eigenlijk gek dat het er niet zo druk was. Weet iemand trouwens nog welke plaat hij draaide na 'Breathe' van JoC? Heerlijke plaat en had het gevoel alsof ik de enige was die hem niet kende haha.
Wij hebben van begin tot het einde een supernacht gehad, de sfeer, de aankleding,en ga zo maar door. Diep respect hoe PT events, in een periode vol verdriet zich sterk heeft gemaakt dit zo neer te zetten. En dat was naar ons idee, zo voelbaar. De set van RAM.........geen woorden voor. Van rokende aso's geen last gehad, maar zoals iemand eerder al schreef, gewoon een kwestie van fatsoen om dit zo te doen dat andere daar geen last van hebben, als de beveiliging hier ook al op moet gaan letten.....jongens wij zijn toch geen baby s meer !! Ik ga lekker nagenieten van de meest bijzondr Grotesque voor ons !! R.I.P. Amelia

Nou ik vond het ook wel sneu voor Paul dat er bijna niemand was! Hij draaide inderdaad goed! Als je opent met Bryan Kearney - Stealth Bomber dan ben je meteen een held !
Maar de volgorde kwa tracks weet ik echt niet meer dus kan je niet aan dat andere nummer helpen.. ondanks dat ik hem waarschijnlijk wel ken want hoorde genoeg goede bekende tracks!

Alleen het gebeuk bleef overeind, lekker zweven op de melodie zat er niet in.
Helemaal mee eens, het geluid stond te hard of niet goed afgesteld, je hoorde eigenlijk alleen maar gebeuk heel de avond. Soms wel lekker, maar ik heb daardoor wel veel van de lekkere trance geluiden gemist.
Doei bass was inderdaad vaak genoeg te overheersend. Dat hoort helaas niet bij trance.
Was juist erg fijn dat er gewoon gerookt kon worden in de zaal.
