Benny Benassi

Hailing from provincial Italy, world-class DJ and producer Benny Benassi is a name that needs little introduction but always deserves wide admiration and acclaim. Over a career spanning fifteen-plus years, Benassi has grown from a humble, authentic, and charming club DJ to a festival king and multi-million-selling record producer, taking success in his stride.

Trademarking his unique infusion of house and electro with the global smash "Satisfaction," Benny has consistently evolved his signature sound while staying true to its roots. There is no better place to begin exploring his rich career history than with "Satisfaction" and its game-changing music video, which served as his launch pad into stardom.

Created with his cousin and producer, Alle Benassi, and inspired by the car horns outside an open street-facing window, "Satisfaction" soared into the charts, hitting #1 in France and #2 in both the UK and Germany. It was followed by his debut album, Hypnotica, which reached the Top 20 across much of Europe within its first month of release.

The subsequent years saw Benny flourish, from major festival appearances (Coachella, EDC, Ultra Music Festival, Tomorrowland, and more) to releasing his 2008 artist album, Rock N Rave. That same year, he won a Grammy Award for his groundbreaking remix of Public Enemy's "Bring The Noise," further catapulting the Benassi name into stardom.

In 2011, Benny assembled a star-studded lineup for his album Electroman, featuring T-Pain, Kelis, Jean-Baptiste, and Apl.de.ap, among others, with Gary Go most famously lending his talents on the chart-topping single "Cinema." Skrillex's remix of "Cinema" went Gold in the U.S. and Platinum in Australia and Canada, earning the Benassis another Grammy while holding steady in the iTunes Top 10 dance chart for over six months.

Still riding this exceptional career high, Benny teamed with Chris Brown for one of the biggest crossover dance records of its era, "Beautiful People." The following years were marked by extraordinary tours and releases—most notably "Dance The Pain Away" with John Legend, which premiered live on stage at Coachella. In 2016, Benny unveiled his first album in five years, Danceaholic, a striking blend of older hits, reworks, and new songs, led by the summer anthem "Paradise" (again featuring Chris Brown).

"Paradise" stayed in the UK Top 50 charts for ten weeks and garnered more than 65 million video views alongside nearly 47 million Spotify streams. Recent standout releases include "Everybody Needs A Kiss" with U.S. duo Sofi Tukker, amassing over 10 million streams and featured as the sound of Gay Pride on Musical.ly, as well as "Lonely Nights" featuring Lil Yachty. He also dropped two house-focused tracks, "Inside" with Chris Nasty and "Everybody Hates Monday Mornings" in partnership with his production outfit, BB Team, featuring the eccentric YouTuber Canguro English.

Beyond his own productions, Benny has expanded his musical reach with a string of high-profile remixes for Bob Marley & The Wailers, Giorgio Moroder, Madonna, Sean Paul, and the Rolling Stones, among others. He also hosts a weekly radio show on iHeart Radio, broadcasting to an astonishing quarter of a billion listeners each month.
