Namasté’s Oud & Nieuw evenement gestopt door autoriteiten

Het spijt Namasté mede te moeten delen dat The Arc of Goa op 31 december 2008 op last van de Amsterdamse authoriteiten afgelast moet worden. Na vele tientallen onvergetelijke en probleemloze feesten op de inmiddels al legendarische MS Stubnitz, weigert het management niveau van de politie de activiteiten met Oud & Nieuw plaats te laten vinden onder de bestaande vergunning. 8

In de nacht van 31 december op 1 januari luidt Namasté het nieuwe jaar in met een speciale editie van The Arc of Goa - New Light Celebration. Op maar liefst twee indrukwekkende boten - met in totaal 9 waanzinnige ruimtes en circa 40 top DJ’s, live-acts en muzikanten - zal The Arc of Goa verre wereldreizigers en liefhebbers van ondergrondse muziekculturen een buitengewoon uitbundig Oud & Nieuw bezorgen. 8

Heb toch voor bordercommunity night gekozen in de melkweg ben blij dat ik al deze spanning niet heb.

Het schijnt dat de Stubnitz definitief van de baan is. Een deel van het feest (electronation en nog twee zalen, welke weet ik niet) gaat op de Moby Dick wel gewoon door. Deze zal bij Java eiland komen te liggen en gaat zelfs varen! Of je kaartje daar ook geldig is hoor ik later

NAMASTÈ´s NEW YEAR’S EVE ARRANGEMENT STOPPED BY AUTHORITIES
Namasté regrets to announce that the Arc of Goa on the 31st of December 2008 is to be cancelled by order of the Amsterdam authorities. After dozens and dozens of unforgettable and uncomplicated parties on the already legendary MS Stubnitz, the management level of the police refuses the planned activities for New Year’s Eve to be covered by the Stubnitz´ ordinary license.
Namasté is completely stunned by this severe measure and has no other option than to cancel her event. All efforts put in the realization of what was to become the most impressive Namasté production so far are in vain. We can only hope that the authorities will not progressively restrict this unique location to continue its existence.
For all the hundreds of visitors who have already bought their tickets in pre-sale:
please connect to your pre-sale address for a full refund of your ticket!

Lets make the best out of this completely unreasonable decision by the local authorities.

Electronation @ New Year’s Eve
Moby King, Kop van Java Eiland, Amsterdam
Alternatively, Electronation will organize a party on New Year’s Eve on the Moby King boat, were they will continue their line up with three additional rooms.
The Moby King will be mooring on and off at the ‘Kop of the Java eiland’ from 23.00 to 07.00 in the morning. The line up for the Main room will remain Alden Tyrell (live), Terry Toner (special acid set), Lecktrick, Clockwork and Tron. The line up for the other two rooms will be announced soon. Het gaat de politie om een speciale vergunning die ze nodig zouden hebben op oud en nieuw.
Maar heel erg jammer voor iedereen, organisatie en bezoekers, ik ga proberen bij te zijn op de 3de!

Well... Electronation just couldnt let go of the fact hat they wont have a NYE party
so the Electronation line up still continues on the Moby King boat with an 2 additional rooms and a very special addition to the line up.
Sterac Electronics aka Steve Rachmad will do a signature Italo, Electro & disco set next To Alden Tyrrel live. Terry Toner's still up for an a special one off acid set and residents Clockwork, Tron and Lecktrick will still be there..
