Berlin 30 years ago: The youth radio station "DT64" - one of the first stations to play techno - is on the brink of extinction. MAYDAY is supposed to provide support. 6,000 people euphorically celebrate a new sound on 14th December 1991. Hardly anyone suspects what was to develop from it.
Today, in 2022, we celebrate 30 years. MAYDAY has always stood for progress, innovation and change. Forward ever, backward never.
Acts of the new generation like Amelie Lens, Kobosil or Lilly Palmer unite with idols like Dubfire, Joris Voorn and Monika Kruse - they are as fresh today as they were twenty years ago. Roots of electronic music meet new innovative styles - a perfect match!
