of course i remember, and i remember how how people where watching proteus around the dj booth, and nobody danced when yoji started.
but times have changed whilst protues is still unknow force in some places in the netherlands, people have begun to understand thats its more than act and he is the leader in his field of music, an ambassdor for his sound. closing dance valley has helped build his profile as well in holland. so to answer your question about : I'm actually quite curious about how the crowd will react this saturday? my answer would be, whilst i am sure we (hq) would never put protues in a pure hardstyle line up, i would say: after 4 hours of non stop hardstyle every body would like a change, for a hour or 2. plus i don,t forget nobody can be stupid enought to think that protues is a hardstyle dj and book him as one, protues will do his thing, and he will convert the matrixx. just think back almost a year ago he came out on stage at impulz, no body knew him, his music, what to expect from him, but he rocked it . the matrixx will be breeeze for him compared to 10000 people room at impulz... i wish i could be there to see it.
