Biografie
L.A. Style's "James Brown Is Dead" was the first vinyl ever bought by Giangy—the boy who would grow into one of the world's greatest hardcore DJ-producers. In the early '90s, Giangy and his best friend Lele began experimenting with a brand-new sound in Milan, a style that would soon be recognized across Italy and beyond as Hardcore.
By 1993, Giangy was working as a DJ at Number One while also doing community service. Together with DJ Buby (resident of the legendary Number One Sala 2 with Lancinhouse) and friends Lele and Maxx, Giangy sent demo tapes to Rotterdam Records, the influential Dutch label run by Paul Elstak. The response was positive, leading to their first album release, Nidra E.P., under the name Stunned.
After some time, Buby and Lele parted ways with the group, but Giangy and Maxx pressed on with their vision. In 1996, they founded Traxtorm Records—hailed as the greatest hardcore Italian label ever—and continued to perform and produce as The Stunned Guys. From that moment on, things took off: Giangy traveled the world, appearing at major events such as Thunderdome, Energy, Mysteryland, Street Parade, Defqon, Nightmare in Rotterdam, Megarave, Q-Base, and Hellraiser, among many others.
Over the years, Giangy's discography grew to include seminal hardcore tracks like "Army Of Hardcore" (with Neophyte), "A.E.I.O.U," and "Bim Bum Bam" (for Rotterdam Records). He also created massive hits such as "Thrillseeka" (alongside Paul Elstak, released on Traxtorm Records) and "Bombin Eardrumz" (with Paul Elstak on Offensive Records).
After establishing a significant presence in the scene, Giangy made a pivotal move in April 2009: he left Traxtorm Records, Sonic Solution, and The Stunned Guys to launch a fresh endeavor called G-Box. Dedicated exclusively to music services—covering record production, merchandising, and event planning—G-Box aimed (and continues) to be a cornerstone in the Entertainment Music Business, both in Italy and around the globe.
Since its inception, G-Box has evolved into a well-known international brand. Giangy has remained true to his hardcore roots, frequently collaborating with other pioneers in hard dance music and regularly performing at iconic festivals worldwide. Even as he guides G-Box in embracing innovative concepts and developing rising talent, Giangy's passion for performing remains at the forefront. His ever-expanding musical journey stands as proof that, as he famously says, "Hardcore will never die."
