When dubstep became 'big' a couple of years ago, we loved it, it was fresh, new and it made us want to dance. One of those DJ's who did, was DJ+. Starting out with IDM and other experimental electronic music over a decade ago, DJ+ picked up these new frequencies as one of the first in Holland. But it didn't stop there.

Moving on quickly, Paulus – his real name – became resident at the infamous Lockdown parties and at Melkweg's dubstep-concept 'Sonic Warfare'. The latter celebrated it's 5 (!!) year anniversary last December, making it one of Holland's oldest and most successful dubstep parties.

DJ+' is looking brighter than ever; he started a new clubnight at the Melkweg 'Hoax' and is playing more then ever before. His DJsets are the perfect blend between house, bass and all the genres in between. His focus is the future, but he's never afraid to look back. Playing at major events like 5 Days Off, Source, Off Centre, Colors and DMZ, Paulus has just about seen it all. And it's exactly this experience combined with his flawless taste that make him into such an excellent artist!

Those familiar with the more edgy side of Amsterdam nightlife might have grew quite custom with the name DJ+. With an extraordinary sense for receiving new frequencies and a taste for experiment, he fought his way over the years into the Dutch nightlife. A sonic marksman with a history in gigs that is as wide as his musical taste. It doesn't matter if it were the infamous Lockdown parties, or the well-established 5DaysOff or STRP Festivals; everybody with an appetite for cutting edge electronica should know his name.

And those performances are hard to capture in one word, so just name a few: uplifting, experimental, grimy, bass driven, extraordinary, well timed and last but foremost not least; hard-hitting.

Starting out with IDM and other experimental electronic music over a decade ago, DJ+ is picking up genres with only one intention: to break & crack them, to split them in half and design them into something new, something suitable for his taste. And luckily for us DJ+ is a person that likes to share, teach and distribute his explorations. The results of his research and blends can be heard in not one, not two but three totally different radio shows, aired by the well established broadcasters of Red Light Radio, Studio 80 Radio and Sub.Fm.
