Ruim een maand voor Armin Only 2010 - Mirage in de Jaarbeurs in Utrecht, zijn alle kaartjes voor dit concert van Armin van Buuren al uitverkocht. 15.000 Armin fans en tranceliefhebbers staan klaar om 13 november de aftrap van de Armin Only 2010 wereldtour mee te maken. 11
Echte fans van Armin van Buuren weten het allang; er komt dit jaar weer een artiestenalbum uit. Armin Only 2008 – ‘Imagine’
It’s been a while since ‘Imagine’ conquered both hearts and minds of Armin’s true fans all over the world. On a large stage in the middle of the crowd Armin played a nine-hour DJ set, accompanied by guest singers and artist friends such as Chris Jones, Jennifer Rene, Cathy Burton and Rank 1. The gigs in every city the ‘Imagine’ tour visited were fantastically successful. The events sold out way in advance and excited visitors experienced a joyful night on the dancefloor.
Memorable moments include when thousands of lit-up cellphones were lifted in the air, and numerous shots were taken with those same mobiles when an angel appeared high above the DJ booth during ‘Burned With Desire’. After the last record, satisfied crowds went home with just one question on their minds: ‘Is it possible to top this night?’
Album – ‘Mirage’
After the last ‘Imagine’ tour, a period of rest was necessary for all the crew involved to recover. However, taking time off was not something Armin had in mind for himself. He spent every single moment his busy DJ schedule would allow in the studio, working on the follow-up to ‘Imagine’. Being the perfectionist he is, Armin took all the time he felt was necessary to add another chapter to his impressive discography.
The result is now here: ‘Mirage’ will be released on Armada Music on the 10th of September. It’s a very diverse album, filled with lots of surprises and thrilling collaborations. To serve as a treat for fans who find it hard to wait that long, the album is preceded by the floor-filler ‘Full Focus’ – released worldwide on the 24th of June. This is a purely instrumental track that’s bound to make people dance at every festival Armin plays this summer. And then, when autumn falls, another journey begins…
Armin Only – ‘Mirage’
Armin, triple winner of the prestigious DJ MAG Top 100 DJs poll, is a true perfectionist. Even though he’s been ranked amongst the world’s top-flight DJs for quite a few years now, this is no reason for him to rest on his laurels. There’s always room for improvement, and this is the attitude he demands from his crew as well. No wonder things at the office of Alda Events have been hectic lately, as the last preparations are made for the world tour of Armin Only – ‘Mirage’.
No real information about the show has been made public yet. However, knowing Armin, it is safe to say that the ‘Mirage’ show will bring an overwhelming amount of audio-visual highlights, state-of-the-art show acts and surprising guest-appearances. More than ever, interaction with the crowd is an essential component of the night. Harmony is the magic word, and a perfectly arranged production is the key to create this, although the main focus will obviously be on Armin himself, mixing all the ingredients into a wonderful treat for the audience. The whole performance will be under the umbrella term ‘Mirage’. It’s a word used in several ways, but for Armin it only means one thing:
Armin: “To me ‘Mirage’ represents the feeling of euphoria I am filled with when I see the happiness of the crowd in front of me during my set. At that point I share my passion for music with everyone around me. When there is that special connection between all of us, it almost seems like a blanket of positive energy covering the crowd. I am fully aware of it and I live for that moment 200%. To me ‘Mirage’ is the perfect expression to capture that untouchable feeling which is so vividly present at the same time.”
Those moments of euphoria are about to happen again all over the world. After the success of ‘Imagine’, the demand for this tour could only increase. Already the ‘Mirage’ tour will be covering five continents and nearly twenty cities, all of which will be announced shortly.

De Nederlandse DJ Armin van Buuren is gisterenavond op de jaarlijkse uitreiking van de prestigieuze DJmag Top 100 voor de vierde achtereenvolgende keer uitverkozen tot ‘beste DJ ter wereld’. De ranglijst die het toonaangevende Engelse muziekblad samenstelt op basis van inzendingen van haar lezers is een graadmeter voor de wereldwijde populariteit van de DJ’s. Nog nooit won een DJ vier maal op rij de verkiezing.
Armin van Buuren was blij verrast door het nieuws. “Ik had een paar dagen vrij en zat in Berlijn toen David Lewis (manager, red.) mij belde. Ik vind het fantastisch dat zoveel fans mij weer gesteund hebben. Dat doet me veel en ik ben natuurlijk ontzettend blij. De DJ Top 100 winnen is de grootste erkenning die je kunt krijgen als DJ. Het voelt alsof ik nu voor de vierde keer een Oscar win, met het verschil dat dit de stem van het publiek is. De mensen op de dansvloer hebben hun stem laten horen en voor hen doe ik het uiteindelijk allemaal.”
Armin heeft hard moeten werken want de concurrentie was groter dan ooit. “Ik heb dit jaar veel gedraaid over de hele wereld. De tour rond de 450e uitzending van mijn radioshow ‘A State of Trance’ was een groot succes en ook de mix-CD ‘A State of Trance 2010’ heeft het heel goed gedaan. Het zou ook kunnen dat mijn nieuwe album Mirage de doorslag heeft gegeven. Ik heb enorm veel plezier gehad in het maken daarvan en misschien is dat te horen?”, aldus Armin.
Tijd om lang na te genieten is er niet. Over twee weken staat Armin Only ‘Mirage’ op het programma in de reeds lang uitverkochte Jaarbeurs. Armin: “Aan de nieuwe Armin Only tour is twee jaar hard werk voorafgegaan. 'Imagine', de vorige show was een groot succes en voor mij - artistiek gezien - een nieuwe uitdaging. Met 'Mirage' zetten we een grote stap vooruit. Nog meer show, een groter podium, alles om het publiek negen uur lang te vermaken. Ik heb er veel zin in!"
Ook ‘A State of Trance’ gaat weer de wereld over. Met dit evenement wordt de 500e uitzending van Armins populaire radioshow op bijzondere wijze gevierd. " A State of Trance 500 wordt een tour waarin het getal 5 centraal staat: vijf werelddelen; vijf steden; vijf weken lang. A State of Trance is voor mij een platform waar ik nieuw talent kan laten horen en de luisteraars up-to-date hou over de laatste hits. Met deze tour wil ik de luisteraar nog 'dichterbij' brengen. Radio maken is een passie van mij en ik vind het geweldig dat mijn programma zoveel followers heeft. Ik heb veel te danken aan A State of Trance."

Wat een kaartengekte, kunnen ze dit volgend jaar niet op een grotere locatie organiseren?

Dan komt er geen armin only. Das om de paar jaar.Er is 2 jaar voorbereiding vooraf gegaan aan deze editie.
Tevens was de vorige keer ook in de jaarbeurs en dat is goed bevallen.
15.000 kaarten. Dat moet zeker wel voldoende zijn om de harde kern mee te voorzien.
Echte fans zouden vanaf het begin al kaarten hebben aangeschaft om gewoon zeker te zijn van hun plek.
Nu niet achteraf mauwen over het aantal kaarten.
Als het om de HMH ging, okay..
Er is ook nog ruim van te voren aangekondigd dat de kaartverkoop hard ging.
Wat je nu ook kunt doen is wachten tot een paar dagen voor de "big day" dan krijg je de prijsstunters die niet van hun kaartjes af kunnen komen en een hoop zieken (griep heerst rond die tijd wel weer).

Zalig om weer samen te zijn met zoveel mensen in .... one state of mind en te genieten van de muziek.
Nu zeker het enige echte trance event in Nederland.
Wat niet wil zeggen dat er geen goede trancefeesten meer zijn in Nederland maar kwa wereldbekendheid en exclusiviteit betreur ik het wel dat (trance)Energy verleden tijd is.
