Utrecht krijgt het warm met Doe//rak in de Poema

Het is hartje winter en dat is buiten goed te voelen. Wanten, handschoenen, mutsen, sjaals en dikke sokken worden uit de kast getrokken om onszelf voor de kou te behoeden. Thuis staat de verwarming hoog en de pot thee op tafel. Behalve in het weekend. Dan wordt de Jägermeister ingeschonken zodat “het beest” los kan gaan op de muziek van zijn favoriete dj’s. Alle winterattributen worden terug de kast ingestopt en maken plaats voor de dopeste spullen uit de feestwinkel. Het is tijd om uit je plaat te schieten. Het is tijd voor Doe//rak! 1
Nóg meer Techno avonden in Utrecht met Doe//rak

Techno leeft in Utrecht als nooit tevoren. Sla de agenda open op een willekeurige dag aankomende maanden en merk op dat er genoeg redenen zijn om het huis uit te gaan in het weekend. De organisaties die enkele jaren geleden als paddenstoelen uit de grond schoten en diversiteit aanbrachten in de Techno scene van Utrecht zijn reeds gegroeid en zorgen voor genoeg vertier in de Domstad. 2

Melon aka Jeroen Hofer moved from Basel, Switzerland, to the Netherlands at the age of two. Thanks to his parents, it became clear, at very young age, that music is his big passion. After being the regular grammar school dj, it was time to go to high-school. When in first grade, he immediately started a band with some other students, and bought an Amiga 500, Sampler and DR 550 Drum-computer and started experimenting with electronic music and traditional instruments.
Nowadays, Melon is a key figure in the Dutch music scene and with regular spots & recidencies at clubs like; Fabric, Watergate, Die Registratur, Hive Club, Panorama Bar, Robert Johnson, Hotel Shanghai, a well known artist that can be found in respected clubs from Mexico to Moscou & from Helsinki to Bucharest.
In the future more releases, remixes, mix-cd’s & even an album will follow. He wants to expaned his Ratio?music label as well as his Ratio?nights world wide.

WARREN FELLOW is an International DJ with a great talent for music.
He has been active as a DJ for several years now and has witnessed the dawning of the house-scene. Since then his drive and passion for house-music and making people dance has been unstoppable.
Warren Fellow has been invited to doing gigs all over Europe in countries like Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Great Brittain, Spain & Ibiza.
What makes Warren Fellow so special as a DJ is that he has huge creative musical talent along with a “sixth sense” for communicating with his audience. His heart goes out to his audience who just want to dance and have a great experience. Warren Fellow has the ability to make an audience go completely wild, until (so to speak) the roof comes off.
As producer Warren Fellow is constantly exploring the borders of what is possible in house-music.

Ille Bitch, also known as Michael von L., crawled out of the Haarlem underground and is one of Holland’s most popular dj’s of this moment. His contagious enthusiasm and never ending attention for his fans has made him irreplaceable in the Dutch party scene.
It was in 2002 when Ille Bitch first took place at the turntables. His flatmate, a dj known as Greg Martini, invited him to spin a record. It was a revelation for Ille, who soon started saving for his own equipment. In 2004 Ille had saved enough, he bought his first decks and launched his spinning career. He has been successful from the get go. With him a generation of ravers stood up and followed him to the best parties and supported him like he supported them.
It didn’t take long or the country was infected by the Ille-virus. He found his way to the dj-booths of clubs like Paradiso, 11, Lichtfabriek, Patronaat, Club Stalker, Poema, Tivoli, Effenaar, Club Rembrandt en LVC. There was no stopping when Ille Bitch and fellow-dj De Man Zonder Schaduw decided to spin together. At the same time Ille got residencies at Club Stalker, R3corder, Full Spectrum, Upstruct and Gasten zonder Grenzen. He spread his mix of house-electro-minimal-techno over the country and abroad like ink.
De Man Zonder Schaduw and Ille left a trail of satisfied dancers, lively party people and full clubs behind. After three years they decided to split up, leaving each other with the utmost respect as friends and colleagues. They said goodbye with a tour over the whole country. The last night took place in May 2008 and was a seven hour set in Club Stalker.
But no need to worry about Ille, he’s fine by himself. He is a well known artist in Holland, without a single release. But his recent his purchase of a laptop is the first step to producing. As a traditional vinylist Ille has made the step to digital. He tours the country with his midicontroller and laptop, using them to melt tracks of others to an exciting set.
But being alone brings boredom, Ille found out. That’s why he and colleague-dj Unders are planning to get every one in Holland and abroad dancing. Ille will proceed his own dj-ing career and is starting to make his own production. No one knows what the future will bring, but knowing Ille it will be a great party.

Het magische jaartal, 1987, staat bekend als het jaar waarin Ruud Gullit voor het recordbedrag van 17 miljoen Nederlandse gulden AC Milan inruilt voor PSV. Sommigen zullen bij het zien van de vier cijfers denken aan het jaar waarin Rudi Carrell, een Nederlandse entertainer, ter aanstoot damesslips en BH’s naar de Iranese geestelijk leider, Khomeini werpt. Tevens is 1987 het jaar waarin Nederland zich via juridische omwegen kwalificeert voor het EK van 88 (en deze wint).
Iedereen die dit stukje leest zal voortaan denken aan de drie heren die het DJ trio Kaskrakers vormen. 1987 is namelijk het jaar waarin Lorenzo Berendsen, Jeffrey Lok en Arnout van der Zwaal zijn geboren.
De passie die zij ieder individueel voor muziek ontwikkelen gebeurt bij elk op een andere manier. Toch vinden zij elkaar en hun muzikale raakvlakken na bijna 22 jaar op een huisfeest in Utrecht. Dit is het moment waarop zij besluiten samen in zee te gaan. De juiste combinatie van House, Tech House en Techno muziek vormen de rode draad in hun rockende, doch diepe en swingende Dj sets. Samen gaan zij tegenwoordig hun optredens af en zorgen zij voor veel gezelligheid en vertier op alle plekken waar zij komen. Een kleine glimp van hun stijl van draaien hoor je in de volgende dj-set.
