30 Years of UK Garage: A Legendary Celebration at Parallel, Amsterdam
On 15 November 2024, the Dutch UK Garage (UKG) scene will gather at Parallel in Amsterdam for a spectacular celebration of 30 years of UKG!
This legendary genre, which originated in the 1990s as a revolutionary blend of house, jungle, and R&B, has set generations of dance floors on fire with its catchy rhythms and energetic sound. It’s music that many fans grew up with, featuring icons such as DJ EZ, Artful Dodger, Jeremy Sylvester, and Matt Jam Lamont. Additionally, there is a fresh new wave in the UKG scene, with artists like Interplanetary Criminal, Y U QT, Soul Mass Transit System, and others giving the sound a modern twist.
In collaboration with more than 10 leading collectives and organizers from the Netherlands and abroad, and with a lineup of no less than 22 (inter)national artists, this night guarantees a huge celebration of UKG culture in the Dutch dance scene.
