BEN KLOCK (DE, Ostgut Ton)
Berlin born DJ, producer and label owner Ben Klock is without a doubt one of the most significant characters in techno’s recent history. A resident at Berghain since its opening in 2004, he has been able to leave his mark on the club’s unique sound, in turn the special space influenced Klock’s approach as a DJ and producer as well.
Playing techno sets full of hypnotic, deep and heavy grooves, releasing records on Ostgut Ton and last but not least the aesthetics of his own label Klockworks (founded in 2006), have earned him an excellent international reputation over the last few years. Supported by stringent and enthralling tracks, remixes for such diverse artists as Kerri Chandler, Martyn or Depeche Mode, the revered debut album “One” on Ostgut Ton and his Berghain mix, Ben Klock’s name is synonymous with the vitalization of an essential definition of techno.
His music is free of crippling nostalgia and rather wins you over with consistency, tension, and dynamics and time and time again with a sensibility, one would usually expect from house music. In this vein, Klock pursues an unexacting fusion of quantum jumps and tradition – including effortless melodies or hook lines. Being able to harmonize this method of industrial austerity, natural musicality and an impressive physicality is Ben Klock’s great art and skill.

The man and the concept behind the moniker Doubting- Thomas has a rich connection to music, either as a sound artist for film, a writer for Universal or as a memebr of an electronic fused jazz band, one thing is very clear, music is in his blood.
The sound of DoubtingThomas is very authentic, there's a pure honesty to it, nothing is more evident than in his Live performances, fusing tech house with deep, minimal, jazz and broken beats.
Calling London home, this curator of subtle sound grooves and jacking rhythms, he's so far released on Soul Jazz Records, LessIzm:r, Mean and Safari Electronique.

Borrowed Identity (DE, Supplement Facts Records)
At the time of the revolution in romania, borrowed identitys parents had to leave the country. So the 22 years old producer , was born as a political refugee in 1990 in the deep south of germany. Growing up with multi ethnic friends and big interest in many different music genres of the world, he built his knowledge about music through listening to every record he could get in his hands from friends, librarys, record stores and also the internet. This variety in his musical taste is also the reason why he is working anonym since years under different aliases producing a big variety of sound from classical symphonys,ambient, house, techno to experimental music and everything between. The project Borrowed Identity was found as a new alias of the german/romanian producer in the summer of 2011. The idea behind was to create something contemporary through fusioning classic electronic music from detroit & chicago with his own influences .
The 22-years-old youngster released his debut vinyl on Foul&Sunk in June 2012 with a Mark E Remix. The Debut was followed by well received releases on Guy Gerber's Supplement Facts (London), Traveller Records (Finland) and Legendary Sound Research (Netherlands) in the winter of 2012. In the beginning of 2013 b.i. released on Chicagos uprising house label Stripped & Chewed and followed that in the summer with a track on Catz N Dogz Pets Recordings.
In October 2013 the “Leave Your Life EP” on DVS1’s Mistress Recordings was released, which brought b.i. a lot of reactions from the worlds top djs. The record went on number one in the techno vinyl charts and also Top 10 at Resident Advisor’s Top 50 charted music, so this release can be called now his breakthrough record. Mistress001 was then followed highly succesful by the “Love For Sale EP” in september on Quintessentials, which is focusing on the soulroots of Borrowed Identity.

Even though he’s barely in his early twenties, Issa Maïga can’t be considered a beginner in the world of electronic music. His passion for rhythm has indeed been growing since he was a young kid. From the drums he started playing when he was 8 to his sister’s electronic music that his house resounds with, rhythm literally leads his life.
