BONG-RA
In 2003 Bong-Ra released his cult album ‘Bikini Bandits, Kill! Kill! Kill!’. While preparing plans for this album, he was contacted by the US film company G-Mart (the Bikini Bandits producers) about supplying them some music for their film, as they had heard his music through BBC Radio 1 DJ legend John Peel.
There was a click and plans were made to make the new Bong-Ra album a concept album linked to the Bikini Bandits film. A kind of unofficial soundtrack album. Music and artwork were linked which produced one of the best known Breakcore albums up to date.
The album became a wild fusion of Breakbeats, Metal, Rave, Hip-Hop and Dancehall featuring guest vocals by Skindred vocalist Benji and Deformer’s MC Mike Redman. The ‘hit’ track of the album ‘666MPH’ was released as a videoclip which managed to get on high rotation on the night shows on the Dutch MTV, and also played many times on other Dutch music videostations, quite an accomplishment for non-mainstream music at that time. The videoclip has reached over 600,000 views on
Youtube, and has become somewhat of a classic. 2013 and ten years down the line, Bong-Ra has decided to remix four of the smashers off the album ;‘666MPH’, ‘Can You Dig It?’, ‘Blood & Fire’ and ‘Dub Murderer’ in a new fierce heavy style.
The EP will be released in November via the Rotterdam based PRSPCT Recordings on vinyl and digital format, and will be entitled ‘On Your Knees Motherfucker!’ with great original artwork bu Autralian cartoonist / illustrator

Moet alleen laatste uurtje missen denk ik
Wow, goed antwoord.
