Aron started spinning 12”s back in ’99, and has been cultivating his artistic development ever since. Headstrong, firm, spherical and funky are just a few assets of his mesmerizing sound. Being at the cradle of legendary nights like Mono, Traffic & Crackhouse, Aron became not only a key DJ in the Amsterdam scene, but also one of its chief promoters. And the proverbial icing on this huge cake is surely his honed writing skill. Writing for organizations such as Trouw, ID&T (Sensation & Mysteryland) and Resident Advisor, enabled Friedman to gain a substantial professional knowledge and a great deal of inspiration from some of the world’s leading dj’s and producers.
Aron is able to draw from an idiosyncratic musical career, which compasses many facets of the industry and spans well over a decade. Guided by the insights gathered from these experiences, Aron doesn’t just rock dancefloors; he slaughters them, time and time again.

Milan has been an active member of the Dutch house and techno scene for more than ten years, pushing the boundaries in cities like Groningen and Amsterdam, bringing both music and people together during his DJ-sets and events. The pursuit of quality house music and innovation have always been driving forces for him, and led to residencies at Pand48 and Paradigm in Groningen, and the infamous Studio 80 in Amsterdam.
As the years passed, his sound became more refined and grew into a blend of deephouse and dub-driven grooves. He gained experience playing at a wide variety of venues, often praised for warm opening sets, setting the mood for the night. One might say that Milan is truly part of the new generation of artists living for the purity of the dancefloor, always searching to improve the scene and stay innovative in both sound and organization.

Black Box focusses on the new international house sound, with tracks often arranged in a true song-like matter. This sound is breaking international charts with productions from artists such as Maya Jane Coles, Jamie Jones, Damian Lazarus, Crosstown Rebels, Visionquest, Benoit & Sergio, Osunlade, Maceo Plex, Soulclap, Wolf + Lamb, Dyed Sounderom, etc.
Studio 80, with it’s colourful and creative visitors, has proven to be the ideal venue to present this new music direction. With warm, melodic and sexy grooves, referring back to the original Chicago (deep) house sound, but at the same time taking it in a new direction.
Black Box has become the weekly platform for this new sound, presented by a new generation of Amsterdam DJ’s.
