The A&R and mastermind behind Poker Flat, Steve Bug, launched a new era in 1998 with his groundbreaking label, and now 12 years onwards, the label is revered to as taking electronic music to new levels, with its sensual grooves and hi-tech moods.

Behind the decks:
One of the key figures in the circle of producers of the Berlin based label, Martin Landsky, has an over-abundance of funk and minimal melody coursing through his veins, cross-pollinating an electrifying new sound that could only be described as a deep understanding of House music. From sharp post-electro swagger which takes inspiration from those early days of rave, to combining modern, finely-tuned electronics with raw, dubbed and funked passages of killer proportions.

Owning a label called Minimise can be a tough gig these days. Yet Donnacha Costello has always been in it for the long haul, launching the imprint in the late 90’s before minimal became a fad with the understanding that minimalism is an approach, a characteristic — not a genre. Focusing on a rich blueprint, with echoes of Chicago House, Detroit Techno, and UK Ambient Techno flowing through its futuristic core, Donnacha explores further his love for deep, hypnotising grooves, rich synth themes and emotive harmonies.

Sweating up the backroom:
By many, Steve Rachmad is considered a father of Detroit techno in the Netherlands, respected in the world of electronic music for his deep, groovy sounds that tend to rest on impressive strings, melodies, funk and soul. His career has been reaching its highest peaks from 1996 up to the present time, and he’s built an oeuvre that is without a doubt of a high magnitude: both quality and quantity-wise. His devotion drives him safely into a successful future, and transports you to other worlds and back.
