Dit is ‘m dan, de eerste Linke Soep sinds het oud & nieuw geweld van 31 december die plaats vond op een geheime locatie ergens in Amsterdam. Deze editie is overigens geheel zonder groene schoenen tot 09:00 door gegaan met het allerbeste wat Amsterdam te bieden heeft. Maar nu een editie waaraan een kleine geboorte gekoppeld is; Piekup Records release party!
Chris Lattner – Need more time EP’ zal vanaf 19 februari exclusief te verkrijgen zijn via Decks.de en Beatport.com. Onder leiding van Chris Lattner zal de volledige line-up bestaan uit Carlos Sanchez, Alex Kaddour, Olene Kadar, Robert Powlson, Hayte Bouchier en Vinnie Mattone. Chris Lattner is al een keer eerder uitgenodigd in de Studio 80, die avond was hij precies wat iedereen nodig had. Met een dikke stuwende set, waarop man en vrouw lekker los kon gaan. Deze avond geeft hij een b2b set weg samen met één van de twee Piekup labelbazen en birthday boy Hayte Bouchier. Chris Lattner zijn vele producties - die zijn onder gebracht bij het Einmaleins Label - zijn een zekerheidje voor menig House liefhebber, nu op Piekup Records de eerste release ‘Need more time EP’.
Carlos Sanchez en Alex Kaddour komen vanuit het zonnige Gran Canaria, wie dacht dat je daar alleen maar een beetje Flügels kon tikken en op het Marie Heinekenplein kon hangen die heeft het mis. Carlos Sanchez (geen familie van Daniel Sanchez, Juan Sanchez of Roger Sanchez) heeft samen met studio maatje dj Ray al flink van zich laten horen. Niet te geloven dat hij samen met Alex Kaddour een levendige scene op het eiland heeft neergezet. Dus Gran Canaria = zonnen en raven! Wat je het laatste uurtje bij een bezoek aan de Studio 80 wil is pompen, daarom is er een beroep gedaan op afsluitkoning Olene Kadar. Source Festival, Awakenings, Mysteryland… hij deed ’t m. Op Mo’s Ferry klapt hij de ene dikke track na de andere eruit, oftewel dè kandidaat om het zooitje er is flink van langs te geven.
Voor Robert Powlson is het zaak om als enige echte resident en toekomstig artiest van Piekup Records de stabiele Linke Soep Sound ten gehore te brengen. Op de digitale kant van het SoWeSo label van Lauhaus en Kabale und Liebe zal Robert ook spoedig van zich laten horen. Tot slot Vinnie Mattone, de man die Haarlem voor Amsterdam heeft verlaten zal deze avond Studio 2 openen. Vol enthousiasme maakt hij het eerste anderhalf uur vol om zo aan Carlos en Alex het stokje over te geven.
