Bad Boyz

Marcel vd Braak better known as Bad Boyz is without a doubt one of Holland's finest dj's specialized in a wide range of electronic hard dance music. This Rotterdam based dj already took his first footsteps in the magical world of dj-ing in 1994 where he started spinnin' vinyls in a local youth club called "Pompei".
After a few years of developing his skills and building a versatile music collection Bad Boyz built up a considerable fan base in his home city. Soon his energetic performances, strong record choice and excellent mixing techniques were noticed by several bigger clubs and the management of the legendary venue Hollywood Music Hall asked Bad Boyz to host the new Partyplanet area of the club.
From there his star rose fast, attracting thousands of ravers to his residency every weekend Bad Boyz became a true trademark in the harder styles of dance music.
In this period Bad Boyz also started to produce his own tracks, after locking himself (with former partner in crime Marlon S) up in the studio he created his production titled 'Shake Thiz' which was immediately signed to Tremble Tracks, the sister label of the legendary Seismic Records label managed by Beholder, Balistic and Max Enforcer.
The single was well received by loads of key dj's in the international hard dance scene and led to the definite break-through of Bad Boyz. His slammin' productions and remixes (among his massive remix for the infamous Decibel 2004 anthem 'Bigger, Better, Bolder', produced by Beholder, Balistic and Max Enforcer) and of course his top notch dj sets made Bad Boyz to one of the most popular hard dance artists in Holland and far abroad. He performed on renowned festivals like Decibel Outdoor, Defqon1, Reverse and Bassleader and was a regular guest in famous venues like The Matrixx, Time Out, Cherrymoon and Complex, just to name a few.

After years of dj-ing, producing and a lot of travelling Bad Boyz decided to take a period of sabbatical to regain energy and inspiration. Yet now he's back, ready to deliver maximum freestyle madness to the dancefloors again. His outstanding ability to combine hardstyle, early hardstyle, jump classics, jump/tekstyle, oldschool and early rave, his fresh view on music, his excellent mixing skills and great interaction with the crowds make Bad Boyz to one of those true oldschool dj soldiers who never fail.
And fully recharged Bad Boyz is also very busy in the studio creating new material, so we can expect new releases in the near future, and regarding his background this is definitely something to watch out for!
