·Passion and love for the music came early for the Dutch DJ HKM.
At the age of fifteen, Jori Lam came in touch with electronic music and was fascinated from the start. One year later, the teenager bought his first set of pioneers and the start of his career has begun.
After a lot of practicing, HKM and DJ Marcredi meet. A collision of passion for the music and DJ'ing is the beginning of a new collaboration, after which the career of HKM begins to form. The young DJ start to get the hang of it, and decides to dive in the world of Drum 'n Bass and Dubstep. When this genre became too commercial because of the big hype that it was, the talented DJ left his pioneers untouched for a while.
After a short period of time, the now eightteen year old HKM meets the magical sounds of techno at his first Awakenings party. He understands that he never lost the love for music, but was looking in the wrong genre. He decided that he can no longer wait, and with a big dose of motivation, passion and persistence HKM started all over again. His talent, combinated with his unique style, fit for every club and age makes it that Utrecht based clubs like Hal16 and LUX didn't wait long to invite him to play.
HKM is now a well established member of the Utrecht party scene. It's still his ambition to reach out to other countries, to share his passion for music.
One day, he hopes his name will be displayed amongst many of his heroes like, Adam Beyer, Loco Dice, Marco Carola who have been inspiring him from the very beginning.
The talented, enthousiastic and driven DJ knows how to play the crowd with a lovely, energetic and most of all, groovy set.
