learned the basic from skool but the most from TV and music...it's a great language and everything sounds better in it.
I've got my uncle in canada and I learned it on school but my englisch is not so good :P

I Learnt English from Cartoons on CN offcourse and from Discovery Channel & a Tuning magazin I read called; "MAX Power" & a bit on school offcourse.
School, films, and just the daily life where you got a lot of English terms :)

At school but also to look to the television.
I can't read fast so I have to listen to understand O:)
Learned when i was about 10 yrs old at school... never stopped taking English classes until I started my job... and now I work at a Canadian company - speaking English pretty much all day, so that improved my English as well...

I guess I can say I can express myself in English whenever I need to. ;p
principally at school, but also talking english in reallife with some people! ;)

i learned it in school since the 3rd class. we were often in belgium when i was a child and in italy for camping. my father drived with me every month to italy...but our friends there were english-peoples..so i lerned from my "friends" ;)

and i was 2 weeks in fort lauderdale(miami) usa in the language academy

Hmm first of all some movies started when is was like 7 years old after that I learned the most of 'Gameranger' some gaming community for mac.
tv was my teacher :)
 
is that right, that your movies in nederland have always underlines in your language?
when i was a kid i couldn't read the subtitles quik eneugh :p
 
hehe..i think thats good...in póland there are no subtitles i think...there is only one person who translate everything..hehe

at they age of 2 my brother flew over from south afrika, to life at my dads instead of his moms who still lives in S.A.
my brother didn't speak dutch ... so we spoke englisch

hey!! I'm Spanish and I learned english because my nother was born in england, but she lives here from 20 years ago, I go to england every year to to see my grandmother where she live, but she is not english she is polish hahaha is a big history!!

Just have English dad, and gone to Britain like fecking 30 times in my life now. (y) That helps!
I watch a lot English movie`s with no subtitle :P
 
When i was young, my grandmother had English lessons. When i visited her, she'd always teach me words and sentences. That's how i fell in love with the language!! And in 2003 i worked in Italy for 3 months, i really learned how to speak proper english there! I love it!!

my uncle is american and at home they only speak english..and from films...and from the school..and i have many contacs in italy and a love in italy uhauhaua..but my italian is not so good..and so we speak every day in english ....

Iworked 5 winters as a ski instructor in a English resort in Austria. And last year i found myself a English girlfriend and i ended up living in England 4 the whole summer.
A bit sad that they don't know anything about quality dancemusic around here (Kent). Its all about D&B and F****** garage.

i learned at school, books, movies and music the most english i know. but we also have a lot of british people heer in my hometown

Does it happen alot to you guys that you got an better grade for English then for Dutch?
I hear this alot, And it happens to me like... all the time :O
i have a american friend we write always english .....i try to understand it but its going not alway but we understand us
and that is the main thing =)
