I love to the people here, especially in Amsterdam. But to say they friendly and warm like Italians, etc....is crazee-babi.

There are lots of beautiful dutch cities, but most of them are very boring and full of very standard uninteresting people or students, like Utrecht is. You know, the calvanistic dutch mentality.. At least in amsterdam you run into interesting people and freaks from all over the world. They dont call it the Republic of Amsterdam for nothing. Not even! Utrecht is worlds better than Amsterdam. Infact, it's alot nicer than Rotterdam too, if you're looking for a charming city with old buildings and what not. Leiden is really nice, too. No clue about Haarlem, I only rode a bus through at night, and i've simply never been to Alkmaar. And whats the place near the coast with the Dolphinarium... ?? That place was nice too, and not just because of the dolphins.

Mwah i have been to Utrecht many times, and I know for a fact that if any city smells like shit it's Utrecht, the Hoog Caterijn is notorius for having junkies shit in every corner.. Its not a bad place, just a bit boring..

LEDS traffic lights aren't available yet.

Here in sweden more girls are nice dressed, but they all have the same look (blond hair blue eyes and the same face as well) so I dont think theyre hot because every time I see one i think I saw her somewhere when i never did..

First time I was in Holland this spring. One thing which surprised me the most was ... cheese & something spicy in fastfood. Every fastfood was with it.
Another thing is traffic system: trams, trains, bikes, pavements for ordinary people. It's real achievement i think. no any f...ing traffic-jams & it's easy to get to the place you need as fast as possible.
3d thing: yards & architecture. I was in Amsterdam (historic centre & new areas) & Utrecht & fell in love with it.
4th: smiles & welcome-faces. It's a nice positive in communication.

granted i haven't had too much experience in either city so i could be totally disillusioned....amsterdam was nice because of the deep history that was in plain view everywhere but rotterdam seemed to have a more colorful and modern vibe to it

Quite logical if you know some history...R'dam was bombed during WW2, the whole centre of the city is post-WW2....unlike Amsterdam, which has original 15th-century buildings!

The rest of the city... a few old nice buildings, the nieuwe haven is nice too. It's a city you really have to know well to appreciate it i think because at first sight it doesn't look so exciting. When I came to Holland I was nicely surprised from the ppl! They were so polite and its a funny story : I was cycling and I got lost, then I stopped and I asked in English one old lady for the direction. Her English was not so good but she was trying her best to help me
