The official Amsterdam Dance Event kickoff will take place at Melkweg with a special collaboration of the award-winning Metropole Orkest. The 2023 edition of the festival starts with electronic duo Tinlicker. Their signature blend of progressive house, indietronica and melodic techno are the perfect ingredients for an orchestral remake. Led by conductor Simon Dobson, their immersive electronic beats and sizzling synthesizers intertwine on stage with the acoustic live instrumentation. It promises to be the most danceable ADE opening concert yet. Expect a diverse setlist of Tinlicker's greatest hits, fan favorites and new music composed especially for the occasion.

After previous successful collaborations with Henrik Schwarz, Jameszoo, Colin Benders, SOHN, Weval and Suzanne Ciani, the Metropole Orkest is once again taking on the challenge of exploring another spectrum of electronic music. Tinlicker's very first ever live show was during ADE 2021 in the Melkweg. Since then, they have gone all over the world. Now they are back for another big adventure.
