Aether is the newest performance by Boris Acket, Nick Verstand and Maarten Vos who will transform the Noorderkerk into a new sacred place. Expect to experience an evening ritual with redefined and emphasized elements of the architecture in a surround installation with 32 speakerpoints powered by 4DSOUND. Travel in a colourful thick mist with sounds and gradients around through space creating live painted 'airfresco's'.
Cellist and modular synthesist Maarten Vos will write a site-specific composition for the infamous Knipscheer organ to accompany the core of the installation.
Old friends and colleagues Boris Acket, Nick Verstand & Salvador Breed introduce themselves as artists who investigate space as a medium. In their process they use music, light, spatial audio & kinetic elements to explore and expose new ways of experiencing spaces around you.
