Submerge

We’re back too!

Having done our first ever Submerge event a month after the original Subsonic first opened, and having never skipped a month for the four and a half years after that, we were of course as disappointed as anybody when the club suddenly closed last year. Now that the new and improved Subsonic is up and running in the Peperstraat, with it’s awesome LED tunnel and kick-ass soundsystem (bassss) we are super excited to pick up where we left off, with edition number 54!

For this first new edition we have invited back old favourites and legends of the Groningen and Dutch scene Fre4knc and Silvahfonk for a two-hour back 2 back set.

Break-fast boss and purveyor of deep and technical drum & bass, Groningen’s own Fre4knc has been making waves in the global D&B scene over the past few years with a string of very strong releases on Invisible, Critical Music, Samurai Music and Dispatch Recordings.

Master of the breaks Silvahfonk is one of the most entertaining and energetic DJs you’ll ever witness, and never fails to deliver quality sets that show his love and knowledge of the genre. He has been working with Mindmapper lately on a steady output of smooth rollers for labels including Citrus, Blendits and Creative Wax.

Residents Tom Wilcox and F. Kabaal will get things going nicely at the start of the night, and our good buddies and Submerge regulars Sander Sittn & Vitz will see you through to the end like proper soldiers.
