The Urbanears Hideout is back at ADE this year, inviting you to escape the buzz of the conference and make yourself at home in a sanctuary unlike any other. Kick off your shoes, munch on Swedish treats, flip through some records, and meet with the extraordinary.
Here’s some of the exciting stuff that’s going down:
FIKA & RELAX
Satisfy your taste buds with a daily selection of Swedish styled pastries and artisanal roasts. Then explore the many relaxing and unexpected spaces and settle into your favorite spot. Enjoy some spontaneous conversation or simply unwind to the vibes of the featured DJ beats.
POP-UP CLONE RECORD STORE
Every day part of the hideout will transform into a pop up record store curated by none other than Clone Records, a Dutch record label and shop specializing in experimental and underground electronic dance music. Flip through the collection and discover new favorites from clone.nl. Record players and headphones will be available on the spot to serve your curiosity.
PECHAKUCHA hosted by PechaKucha Amsterdam
PechaKucha is the Japanese word for ’chit-chat,’ but it’s also the name given to the simple show and tell format where presenters display 20 images for 20 seconds each. Every day the Hideout will be visited by a variety of people from the music and tech industry who will share something they’re passionate about.
