Joseph ‘Junior’ Adenuga a.k.a Skepta is one of the pioneers of Grime and remains one of the most appreciated and famous grimers in the world. His dark productions – usually fully his own –, intimidating lyrics about life on the streets of Britain and his raw, low-budget, real videos define the Grime scene in its entirety. His debut album ‘Greatest Hits’ from 2007 grew to become a true classic every Grime fan knows. After releasing his third album ‘Doin’ It Again’, which steadily seemed to edge towards a more mainstream approach, he was disappointed with his rise to fame and decided to throw himself back into the raw Grime we’ve become so fond of. This resulted in the new album ‘Konnichiwa’ and the phenomenal singe ‘Shutdown’. Mans not playin’ about, fam!
