Spring is coming! And so we are back with Brutu.
Fruitsmoothies/incense/hippielectronic minus the hairballs. Do you like electronic music? And how about drawing with crayons? Do you love face paint? How about massages? Do you like to eat good food and fruit/vegetable smoothies as a late snack? How about a pleasant catmosphere with like minded cats from the block? Maybe an artist and want to implement your (visual)art with the Brutu spirit?
Purrr no further! On the 9th of April our Brutu smoothies will provide you with a daily dose of vitamines. We have a bunch of great people working together again to bring you a new edition of Brutu, your friendly neighborhood feline party, which is also welcome to our other cousins in the tree of life.

This edition all donations are going to Taste Before You Waste - Utrecht a initiative that focuses on raising awareness about the large amount of food that is thrown away every day, and inform people about what one can do to fight this. There will also be a corner with more info.
Boom Boom Meow will also provide the amazing visuals and constructions on the stage this time!

Shawn Rubens
Shawn Rubens is a Rotterdam based DJ/Producer. Since he first started playing back in '97, he has grown into a very experienced and technical DJ that doesn't hold back to experiment on the edges between the deep and the powerful. His releases and remixes are very well received in the international scene. Shawns productions always tell a story. The sound is unique, strong, deep and intelligent, combining the best elements from techno, house, deephouse and all there is to explore when Rotterdam and Berlin collide.

Koen Schepens (live)
As long as he can remember, Koen has had a total disinterest in music. When way too old he started making techno despite his great aversion to electronic music.
He started producing under great pressure of his environment, who stated that making music is the best way for a stable base salary and has the best career opportunities. He therefore had to wave his longlife passion (to work as an office clerk) goodbye.
His shortage of talent is something Koen is very proud of and is beyond compare. Very few other artist were able to create such uninspired crappy techno music.
Koen's songs are currently not played by great artists like James Holden, Nuno dos Santos and Gabriel Ananda. Nor are they played by any other DJ.

Botanischer Garten
Since Brutu is a cat, cat eat fish and fish eat plant, Brutu has to be enriched with under-ground beats, maya-jungle sounds, and music that flows like a river. The way Cats and Tigers like it.
The harmony of the nature in an unnatural composition - Der Botanischer Garten. Rocks complemented with stones, birds accentuated with bugs, and one Tiger to eat them all. Entangled by complexity, but observed with simplicity, tiny variations of melody in an overwhelming synthetic space of sound.
Yes, Cats like that, and Tigers too.
Please, find comfort in the surrounding vibe, fly free on your feet, and don’t let your thoughts kill you. While you wonder whether the cats like you, der Botanischer Garten has removed the weeds in between your broken rocks.

Skuzi
Skuzi is a collaboration between 2 local ACU volunteers: Skander- Smallest mountain and Uzi - Daesis .
Based at Utrecht, they make music together and individually, going for some techno dj-sets as well. Combining the different backgrounds resulted in a rich mixture of energetic electronic music for dreamers and dancers. They also are the initiators of the Brutu project, dedicated to Brutu, the housecat of one of the duo.
