Low-Pitched is back in December at the OT, continuing to explore the deep and sub-heavy sounds of the underground and beyond. This time bringing you straight into a dense concentration of bassweight digistep and dubwise good vibrations.
For this 4th edition, we are overly excited to showcase Ishan Sound's live dubbing set, alongside Quantum Soul both hailing form the UK, sharing decks with our homies Moonstones and Resident duo Cut It Dub, VJ Piss&LaughTV on the walls & Quest One MC to hype you up! ISHAN SOUND
[Tectonic, Peng Sound, Zam Zam Sounds, Punch Drunk]
Hailing from Bristol and immersed in the city’s renowned culture of sound systems, Ishan Sound aka Cris Ebdon is at the forefront of the new wave of Bristol producers and DJ’s. His productions, built for soundsystems, merge the minimal and atmospheric tendencies of early dubstep with the rhythms, weight and pressure of militant UK-Steppas to devastating effect.
Also part of the Young Echo collective as both Ishan Sound and the one-half of Zhou, Cris produces alongside Kahn, Neek, Vessel and El Kid, and plays a key role in the identity of the Bristol’s collective, imposing his rough and rugged Steppas productions. His recent releases on Tectonic, Punch Drunk Records, ZamZam and Astro:Dynamics have hit the scene by storm, marking a unique throwback digi-dub sound.

QUANTUM SOUL
[Innamind, Pressed, Tribe 12]
Strongly influenced by the soundsystem culture of his native UK, Quantum Soul has since 2007 consistently fused dub, tribal, and mystical elements into his thought-provoking productions. His dubwise, organic approach to production has been able to reach many facets within the 140bpm sound. Emerging onto the dubstep scene in 2007, he has had numerous releases on many labels including - Ranking, Dubting, Dubbed Out and Transistor. In 2009 he co-founded the collaborative project 'Cymatic' which went on to have releases on Boxclever and more recently on Dispatch Recordings. Quantum Soul's constantly evolving sound has taken a step up in 2012, resulting in signings with Tribe 12 and Innamind Recordings, dropping one of the biggest tunes of 2013 - Quantum Soul vs Lamb - Strong Root. Expect a deep bassweight set and a truly unique sonic experince.

Little explanation needed: Moonstones is the Dutch trio-resident of Klub Dub that comes with full trays of vinyl to blow the bassweight from the needle to your ears. With some heavy productions of their own, they've also appeared on air with special guest mixes for BunZer0 and Korrupt. Big bass and ruff beats!

Soulful singer, rapper and crowd hyper, Quest is resident MC at Ichi-One, Basz, Rampage, Radar and Breakdown and is known to put up left, right and centre when Murdock is on the bill. From Drum'n'bass to Hiphop covering House and Techno and illuminating paths in Dubstep, Quest provides lyrics, vox and melodies to wild spectrum of musical influences.
