4DSOUND geeft woensdag 15 t/m zondag 19 oktober tijdens Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) een showcase in het Compagnietheater met diverse optredens en masterclasses. Het systeem is een van de interessantste innovaties op het gebied van ruimtelijk geluid en krijgt lovende kritieken. Gedurende het festival zijn er diverse live performances en masterclasses van onder andere Stimming, Max Cooper, Vladislav Delay en een delegatie van het Raster-Noton label.
With the ADE Sound Academy, 4DSOUND will focus on the presentation and development of inspiring new settings in music, technology and art. We host an extensive 5-day schedule of varied masterclasses, hands-on workshops and live performances on the 4DSOUND system, involving a variety of internationally respected artists, creators and thinkers.

Sunday, October 19th will be dedicated to the presentation of the Spatial Sound Hack Lab with a series of short public performances. The participants are provided an opportunity to perform their work - created throughout the week - in the ADE Sound Academy. The presentation will be hosting a final panel evaluating the ADE Sound Academy, and discussing diverse aspects of spatial sound production and immersive sonic environments. The panel will feature the following speakers, with further names to be announced: Peter Kirn (CDM: Create Digital Music/Motion * Noisepages), Jarl Schulp (Fiber Festival), Gareth Williams (Liine), Paul Oomen (4DSOUND) and Martin Stimming - who will present the self-designed hardware controllers that drive his 4DSOUND live performance.
