Introducing the music selectors:
It is already a decade ago that Khalil and Steven Pieters decided to join forces. Thousands of back 2 back sets later it is clear they developed a signature sound that morphs both their spoken out characters and well seasoned musical taste into one solid aesthetic that is completely a thing of their own. This vibrant blend of mind penetrating deephouse, flowing disco grooves and funky garage has earned them respect from crowds all over Europe. They bring warm and soulful sounds but always keep a freaky edge and a powerful hypnotic groove to it. Beside dj'ing and producing Khalil and Steven Pieters are also actively involved in the Triphouse Rotterdam collective (which includes a recordshop, radioshow, label and various events), promoting the underground house culture in their hometown and beyond.

Ferdi Blankena & Sense Unique met each other at different outdoor parties of DeventerDubSessions, it was the summer of 2005. There was an immediate click. It’s only in 2008 that their musical thoughts came together in a dj set at an illegal warehouse rave in Deventer. It was instant magic and their love for pure housemusic hit the dance floor. In the years after the first performance they grew nearer to each other. Their love for vinyl and their passion for the music keeps inspiring them both. Ferdi Blankena & Sense Unique bring out the best in each other, because of their exceptional and original choice of records, and their enthusiasm behind the decks. Their sound is full of inspiration with the Chicago and Detroit house of the 90′s plus some disco and techno influences. So far they had performances at Voltt, 8bahn, Drift, Planet Rose, Weekend Warriors, Crackfinder, DeventerDubSessions and recently made their first trips abroad.

Rocky Grullon was born in St. Domingo, Dominican Republic. At the age of seven, he moved to Rotterdam. He started spinning vinyl at the age of fifteen, in the house and classics era of that time. With his love for techno and his carribean roots, he developed a sound that is house and techno, groovy, funky and soulful with a dark edge, yet still working those hips. Nowaday he is performing throughout the country and in places such Extrema Belgium, Ibiza and Madrid.
