Parookaville is allesbehalve een normaal dancefestival. Het is een show concept zonder precedent dat plaatsvindt in Duitsland. Tijdens het succesvolle debuut in 2015 kwamen 25,000 gasten voor de eerste keer samen op voormalig militair vliegveld Weeze in Duitsland. 6
In de zomer vindt in Weeze, een plaatsje vlakbij de Nederlandse grens, "de oprichting van een geheel nieuwe stad" plaats. Een stad die echter maar één weekend per jaar bestaat en nu al duizenden fans van Electronic Dance Music (EDM) aantrekt. Maar "Parookaville is geen normaal dance festival", zegt organisator Bernd Dicks van bureau Next Events, "het is een unieke en fantastische muziek-en showbelevenis, die er tot nu toe in Duitsland nog niet was." 19
