Tom Harding At Good Greef
This Easter Sunday 11th April Tom will be making his first ever appearance playing for Good Greef at Tall Trees in Yarm. Voted number one club in the country by Mixmag last year, Good Greef are renowned for throwing some of the best parties that the UK has to offer, so naturally Tom is very excited. Tall Trees in Yarm is the UK’s largest club with a capacity of 7,000 people and given the fact that this is a bank holiday special it should be a night to remember. Joining Tom on the line up are Eddie Halliwell, hard trance master Scot Project, K90 live and Adam Sheridan. This event is guaranteed to sell out so if you are going get there early. For more details visit www.goodgreef.com.
Tom Harding In Japan
At the end of the month Tom will be off on tour in Japan. As part of the celebrations to mark the Golden Week Japanese national holiday, Tom will be playing the legendary Velfarre after hours club in Tokyo alongside local legend Energy Dai on Saturday May 1st. On Sunday 2nd he will go on to play in Osaka followed by a gig in Kobe. Visit www.velfarre.com for more details.
Ton Harding On ID&T Radio
Tom’s debut mix for ID&T Radio was broadcast on Dennis Hoebee’s Saturday evening show on the 13th March. Just in case you missed it first time round we have a limited number of CDs of Tom’s radio mix to give away. To get your hands on one please email info@thincdjs.com with your address. CDs will be allocated on a first come first served basis and we’ll even get Tom to sign them for you.
Queensday
With the Dutch national holiday of Koninginnedag coming up at the end of this month we are pleased to announce that Tom will be making a special guest appearance at the Lexion in Westzaan on Thursday 29th April. The next day, on Queensday itself, Tom will be playing alongside JP, Scot Mac and Danny D at the’ I Love Hard House’ vs Limit Recordings street party outside Frisco (just off Damrak) in the centre of Amsterdam before legging it to the airport to fly off to Japan. This promises to be a roadblock so if you are going make sure you wear something orange so your friends can find you if you get lost.
Juke Box
Last month we brought you the news that Tom had bought the Recover Group of records labels and so this month we’re expanding the Juke Box section to give us a chance to blatantly plug some of the new releases that are coming out on Recover and Discover over the next month.
First up though, Tom’s ‘breaking record’ this month is Devilfish – Mangeltramp on Frequent. So new that Tom’s not had a chance to play it out yet, this is block rocking techno with a bassline to die for. If you liked ‘Murder was the Bass’ then you’ll love this.
Tom’s record of the month for April is without doubt David Forbes and Mallorca Lee - Quadra on Red Monkey Records. Sounding like the bastard son of New Time, New Place by Mauro Picotto this has been given a thorough caning by Tom at every gig he’s played at over the last month and judging by the reaction it’s been getting will most likely stay in his box all summer.
Tom’s blatant plug this month is Arc in the Sky – Vainquer on Discover. After taking the Miami Winter Music Conference by storm this has been getting glowing reactions and loads of support from everyone from Eddie Halliwell to Armin van Buuren. Already signed to various compilations this is guaranteed to continue making waves when it is released on sale this month.
Back from the crypt this month is Jon Doe – Mandlebrot on Electric Kingdom Records. Tom dropped this in the middle of his set at HQ last month and the whole club went bananas which is why he’s decided to keep in his box and give it the second airing that it deserves.
Competition
Last month we gave you the chance to win signed copies of Tom’s exclusive techtrance promo CD. We were inundated with replies but nearly everyone got the answer to the question wrong – Tom has actually mixed no less than eight different compilations in total. This month we are giving you the chance to win a totally unique signed HQ T-Shirt. Tom has recently moved house and during the move he unearthed a prototype T-Shirt from his main Dutch residency at HQ that never actually made it into the shops. To win this simply email competition@tom-harding.com and tell us if you were throwing a party with an unlimited budget, which DJ’s you would book to play. Bear in mind that you can book anyone from Jeff Mills to Elvis Presley… the most creative or amusing line up will win the prize. Good luck!
