Interview met organ donors, interessant om te lezen!
1) You have been producing tracks for many years now as the Organ
Donors, for anyone who hasn't heard you guys, how would you describe your style?
We have never pigeon holed ourselves as far as music goes, We started in the acid house era before music became so catergorized and have progressed with the music as it evolved, as long as its Pumping and destroys dance floors, thats just a simple philosophy for us, good pumpin banging floor filling music! Its always good to build a set, and you can only really do that to maximum effect by crossing genres during your performance, pumping tech and trance through to hardstyle for the ultimate climax.
2) Do you find each of you have different roles when working together?
We have different roles for sure but ultimately work toward the same goal, performing an exciting show, technically and visually. We are so close and have worked together for so so many years now we are totally in tune to the same rhythm and vision.
3) Who came up with the Oldskool Autopsy idea and was this something you had wanted to do for a while?
It was something that was on the cards for a long long time yes, in essence I would say we was always destined to write that album, we were born out of oldskool and have countlessly looked back to classic tracks for ideas and inspiration over our careers, we were coincidently asked to remix 2 oldskool tracks within 1 month, BK's 'such a feeling' and Altern8 "Activ8", we had such fun remixing those tracks it just clicked one day, and the idea just came to life, was a moment of magic, the whole musical direction and concept just fell together and the album was wrapped in record time, about 7 months, thats very fast for us as we take allot of time on our tunes.
4) Do you guys have much up your sleeves in the way of future releases?
We have major new plans this year, firstly a monumental remix project with Nukleuz Records called Organ Donors "Under the Knife", its a project that will span over 7 months and will see every track from our first album remixed by pretty much every whos who in modern dance music right now, from Scot Project, Zany, Mark Sherry , Mac n Taylor and 20+ more massive current names!
This massive project marks our final step from record companies as we go solo and Re launch our own Label "Audio Surgery records" a venture that will set the tone for the next step in our career, we have for the first time taken on a full commercial premises here in bmth and over the past 3 months built a brand new custom designed recording studio, mixing suite and offices to tailor our new needs and expansion. Expect to see the biggest Organ Donor onslaught in our history in the coming year.
5) Apart from the djing and producing tracks what else do you get up to?
Well I have 2 lovely children that keep me busy, I love cooking, playing pool and snooker and i also spend my spare time on the rivers and lakes as a keen fisherman, Scott on the other hand spends pretty much most of his time on the net! fiddling with his prick while surfing porn ha! well what else was is the net for eh!
6) When producing what kind of software & equipment do you prefer to use?
We came from an oldskool producers background, as in major outboard studio set up, 50 channel mixing desk, racks and racks of outboard equipment and external synths, but a few years ago we moved with the times and went fully digital, we now run a power house of a mac with logic pro and thats it, bundles of software plugs and digital soft synths, for us its truly the future, the scope is just immense and creative possibilities are endless.
7) How did the name Organ Donors come about?
Matt spent allot of time down Poole Quay in the early 90's satisfying filthy home sick sailors, and I was in the porn business at the time so we thought it would be an appropriate name!

Apart from harddance do you listen to or make any other type of music?
We listen to all sorts of music, allot of Gangsta Rap, Reggae, Coldplay, all sorts, also have a pop at different styles from time to time in the studio, breaks, prog, electro...
9) What can we expect from The Organ Donors @ Infexious in July?
Well as we always say, expect to see a couple of nutters come to bring the party! Cant wait guys been looking forward to this gig since it was confirmed, see you all there in July!
Matt & Scott Donors.
