Tantrum Desire is the brainchild of London-based producer and DJ Jay Faleye, a prominent figure in the global drum & bass scene. With a passion for electronic music dating back to the early 2000s, Tantrum Desire has built a reputation for high-energy productions, cinematic soundscapes, and electrifying DJ performances.

His journey began in 2006 with early releases on Heavyweight Records, including tracks like Dreamscape. These initial productions caught the attention of key figures in the drum & bass community, leading to club residencies in London and radio support from BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra. In 2007, his career took a major leap forward when he was signed by Drumsound & Bassline Smith to Technique Recordings, a pivotal moment that established him as a rising star in the genre.

Over the years, Tantrum Desire has delivered a string of massive releases, including the global drum & bass anthem "Reach" (2011). The track skyrocketed to success, earning over a million views on YouTube, dominating Beatport's #1 spot for over a month, and becoming one of the most widely played tracks in the scene. It received strong support from renowned artists and DJs such as Zane Lowe, Fearne Cotton, Annie Mac, Pendulum, Andy C, Sub Focus, Benga & Skream, and many more.

In 2015, he released his critically acclaimed debut album, "Diversified", featuring the standout single "Oblivion" with Solah, which was recognized as one of UKF's Top Tracks of the Year. The album landed in the Top 10 Beatport charts and earned a Best Album nomination at the Bass Music Awards, further cementing his status as one of the genre's most innovative producers.
