Hi Guys, I have to announce that after a long decision this page will be closed soon, because from now I'm going to perform alone as 'the r3belz'. This is a choice made in line with our label, and as the producer of this name, i'm going to take care of this new one, as my new solo experience. So... a new era is began!!!
Ciao
Leonardo

End of The R3bels
Alessandro Pomponio & Leonardo Toni announced recently their plans to quit The R3bels project. From now on, Leonardo, also known by his alias 'Maxter', will continue solo under the name 'The R3belz' (notice the 'z' instead of an 's'). On Friday their Facebook page, which was deleted shortly afterwards, contained the following message:

Alessandro Pomponio & Leonardo Toni released their first EP in 2003 under the name 'Plasmaravers'. In the years that followed they had some mild success with this name until they introduced a new alias in early 2009: The R3bels.
The introduction of their new name was accompanied by a big bang: Their first EP as The R3bels, released at Wicked Records, contained the track "Keep The Rhythm" which immediately reached the Hardstyle Top 40. Shortly after their first release they did a collaboration with Italian hardstyle master Zatox. Their track "Choir" hit the #5 position in the Hardstyle Top 40 of May 2009. From here things went upwards even faster. The two guys from Rome decided to climb the wheels of steel and started to get bookings in The Netherlands. Although their performances remained pretty exclusive, soon enough they weren't only one of the most popular Italian hardstyle producers, but they were also a favourite of their live audiences. With the creation of Zatox's Italian Hardstyle label in 2010, The R3bels traded Wicked Records for the new label. Their first release on this label featured the dance floor filler "Straight To Da Beat", which reached a staggering #2 position. The only thing left seemed to be a #1 hit. Despite scoring several other hits like "Bionicle", a remix of the famous "Zatox - Tanz Electrik" and their latest release "Shine", it never came to that unfortunately.
Fortunately for all fans the announcement suggests that we can expect more from Leonardo Toni in the future. From the message it seems like he will stay at the Italian Hardstyle label. For now it's unclear if Alessandro Pomponio will continue his career in the hard dance scene as well. Only the future will tell.

Beste beslissing OOIT! Leonardo is solo zooooooo veel beter!
