Well-known hardcoreproducer and DJ from Rotterdam. Main member of Neophyte, this man still is one of the leading producers in the hardcorescene. Started back in the early days of hardcore with his friends Danny Greten and Robin van Roon with their first Amiga-made releases on Rotterdam Records, which was owned by the famous Paul Elstak at the time. As Neophyte, they had many hardcore classics on their name and built up a both famous and infamous reputation on many party-organisations and hardcorefreaks from all over the world.
After a while, Jeroen also started working on his own as DJ Neophyte, and also began co-operating with other producers like DJ Panic, Rob Christenen from Evil Maniax, The Stunned Guys from Italy, The Viper and Evil Activities.
In 1999, Jeroen started his own label Neophyte Records together with Danny, which was meant as a helping
hand for new talents. After Paul Elstak moved to Rige in 2001 to start his new label Offensive Records, Jeroen also became the labelmanager of Rotterdam Records, Terror Traxx & Forze Records together with DJ Panic...
Danny Greten:
Danny was always busy trying to make music on his Amiga with Protracker. After a while he got to know Jeroen at some local party's where he was a DJ at the time, and the two of them decided working on some tracks together. Robin van Roon also joined them after a while. Several months and several try-outs later, they went to see Paul Elstak at Midtown, who just started his label Rotterdam Records. Paul didn't like the tracks they made, so they went back and kept on trying to make their tracks better, and kept visiting Paul from time to time. After a few months Paul suddenly liked it, and decided to release it on his label. Years went by, as Danny, Jeroen & Robin got more releases, and started performing on party's. A few years later, Danny got his own release with another friend of his; the project was called 'The Fuck-Ups' and was released on Terror Traxx 30. Nowadays, Danny still is a member of Neophyte and works for Midtown at their Design department.
Jarno Butter:
The clown of Neophyte; also known as 'the guitar man' or just 'Jarno The King'. Always in for a laugh, and making fun where ever he is. Compares Neophyte with The Rolling Stones of the hardcorescene. Shortly joined the group after their first releases on Rotterdam Records & Terror Traxx, because he had known Danny for a while, and knew how to play on the electric guitar a little. This came in handy, because Neophyte always wanted to do something original with their live-acts; so the idea of a live-act in combination with a guitarman was born! Still a respected member of the group nowadays, although he doesn't play much on his guitar during the live-acts lately...
