Professor Karl Bartos (born 31st May 1952) was an original member of Kraftwerk's 'classic' lineup from 1975 to 1991.
He is credited as a song-writer on the albums Man-Machine, Computerworld and Electric Café and singles Radio-Activity, Trans Europe Express, The Man Machine, Computer World, Tour de France, Electric Cafe and The Mix: some of modern music's most significant and influential works.
This solo performance is comprised of a magnificent full live audiovisual show. He will be joined on stage by Mathias Black and Robert Baumanns performing in perfect harmony with the machines he has helped to create. His stage show is an awe-inspiring set of big screens, projections and futuristic lighting that has been chartered in a special land transport from his home country of Germany.
We are thrilled and honoured to be hosting this rare UK performance from a true legend of electronic music.
hmmm, wel leuk, maar kan niet op tegen gewoon kraftwerk....

1988 - 2008
Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Summer of Love
RETROBLOC: ever conscious of its place in time, space, rave and history BLOC 2008 will feature a dedicated celebration of two decades of raves, parties, dance music and acid.
CRIMINALJUSTICEBLOC: The last day of BLOC 08 will be a straight acid house party given by legends of the scene already on the lineup - and with the special addition of MC Tyree Cooper hosting the stage on this euphoric day.
HYPERBLOC: pitched up to fever mode with just four weeks to go, it's a white knuckle ride to the finish line and the country can barely contain itself as it bunches up its fists and screams at itself in the mirror:
WHY CAN'T I GO TO BLOC
TODAY?

SUNDAY ACIDBLOC
a special celebration of 20 years of acid
featuring Ben Sims, A Guy Called Gerald, MC Tyree Cooper, Phuture 303, Dexorcist (Acid House set), Syntheme and a whacking great dry ice machine.
INNUENDOBLOC: Everybody knows how much fun you can have with A Knock At The Door from Dirty Gertie and Two Fat Ladies - that's right; on top of the acid house mega rave BLOC 08 will feature a game of bingo hosted by everyone's favourite acid impresario Andy Ceephax Jenkinson.
FANCYBLOC: Dress code is Sunday Best so make an effort, for fuck's sake: come dolled up to the nines like proper bobby dazzlers. Hats for ladies - in fact, hats for all. Costumery and buffoonery, the fancier the better. Make sure you've got your drinking pants on though.
SUNDAYBLOC: It's going to be a Sunday to remember.
