Stealth Engineering was created towards the end of 2004. The coming together of Bournemouth's Delinquent Dialect, London's Heuristic Audio, The New Forest farmer Dr Skunkenstein and London reject Big Al. The guys thought it would be interesting to see how a live jam of all their musical influences would sound. After a few sessions in the studio, they soon realised that they had hit upon something quite different to the current trend of today's live acts playing the electro circuit.
After a short period of time, things began to take of for the guys, no sooner had their first demo hit the post-box, they had their very first gigs! Playing at Paul Oakenfold's Spectrum & Danny Ramplings legendary night, Shoom, in London. From an idea to super stardom, the guys began popping up at every trendy night club around the U.K. Ministry of Sound, Gatecrasher, Cream, even glamour night spots such as Miss Moneypennies in Birmingham. Very soon the international jet set clubbing scene beckoned. They became firm favourites with the likes of Mike and Claire Manumission in Ibiza. Pete Tong is a huge fan as well, regularly playing their tracks on his prime time Radio One show - The Essential mix. Things just couldn`t get any better for the boys.
But then disaster struck, due to working commitments that lay elsewhere, Big Al had to take on a lesser role with the crew, things began to rapidly spiralled downwards. Dave Dialect became more so critical than ever before, Heuristic became obsessed with the flavour of freshly hunted duck, and worst of all, Skunkenstein developed a trans sexual mid nineties throw back mental health problem and was seen visiting their old haunts dressed in a white fluffy bra and dancing on podiums to handbag house. From something that had taken off with such aplomb, so quickly, it had soon descended into a complete disaster, Stealth Engineering was ruined, but was it?
Luckily, the 3 remaining members all booked themselves into the Betty Ford Clinic and were soon back to their normal selves, a great relief. Now, currently working on new material, and thinking of new name for a fresh start, the guys are looking forward to getting themselves back into the studio. A comeback tour surely beckons?
