ELEKTROWASH is back to make your life electric !!
Remember how last September "Cosmic Force" (Clone Records), "Michael Manteca" (Klash Music/Roulette Rekordz) and other DJs set Structure Beton on fire - making us want to continue the adventure with you and the alternative connections which, long before “Electro” became stereotyped, were the engine and soul of this music. Networks from Berlin to Den Haag, passing via Detroit or Glasgow, continue to connect these urban and sonic legends. Indeed ELECTROWASH wants to promote electro in all its forms, through open and accessible programming, and in a spirit of seeking out quality that is a long way from the transitory hits that little by little turn the music ridiculous and forgettable. For this second edition we wanted to invite and entrust the musical programming to :
"Draxus" – an electro duo that have been active in the East of the country for several years. They’ve just put out an EP on the brand new label "Robodust", and we already owe them for a remix of "In Your Brain" for "Kitbuilders" (Ersatz Audio/Vertical Rec.). The duet will bring us a sound influenced by electro-techno-experimental records that are the ultimate in darkness ! To be discovered ! /// LIVE.
"Ikko" – a young producer from the label "Roulette Rekordz" is one of the most interesting live acts in Brussels. We’ve heard him play with "New York city Survivors" (Dum Records/Bunker Records) or "Ultradyne" (Warp/Pigao Movement) - influenced by Detroit production in pure Carjack style ! . /// LIVE.
"Tobias Grewenig" aka. "Greg Gravity" (Cologne/Germany) is the man behind various audio-video-installations projects. Some may have discovered him at the "Cimatic" festival or at a "Popzero" night in Brussels, as well as on various compilations from the labels "Kommando6" & "Playmade". He will take us from electro to acid, passing through experimental IDM and other genres ///DJ SET.
"Bogusman" needs no introduction as one of the key figures in the Brussels electropunk scene, as well as the founder of the famous "Digital Monsters" parties. After many years touring solo, he is starting a new project with a male/female vocal duo, and live, if you please !! These new productions will undoubtedly get people talking and bring out the freaks ! /// LIVE.
"Horst & Seppl" (Tilburg-NL) play eclectic electro - from dark analogue sounds via IDM to Ghettotech. They are residents at the "Crack City" nights organized by "Ra-X", head of the "Angel Makers Records" label. These two are well acquainted with the Dutch underground. He’s already mixed with artists like "Kitbuilders”( Ersat Audio) , "Cosmic Force" ( Clone/ Margueritta Rec) and many others. /// DJ SET.
"Code(s)", better known under the pseudonym "Muffin", is the man behind several tracks on the labels "Kommando6" and "Aerobic Audio". He is also one of the founder members of the legendary "Club Terror". He will give us a DJ set in the same spirit, likely to explode the dance-floor. He’s already played with artists like "Tec-Roc" & "Beta Evers" (Kommando6), "GD.Luxxe" ( Ersatz Audio / IT./ Suction rec. ) and "Luke Eargoggle" (Bunker/Stilleben Records)///DJ SET.
"Dargon" is a resident at "Central Electric" at Café Central in Brussels, and is known for his energetic sets at many different parties, including "Digital Monsters" several times. His style is somewhere between electrodark, punk and techno. A promising DJ we’ve not heard the last of yet ! ///DJ SET.
"Stel-R" - organiser of the "Club Terror" and "PopZero" nights. He’s already mixed with artists as prestigious as "Ultradyne" ( Warp/ Piago Movement ) , "Claro Intellecto" ( AI Records ), "BolzBolz" ( World Electric ) and accompanied "Magas" ( Ersatz Audio/ Thrill Jokey ) during his 2005 tour. Stel-R regularly plays abroad for various organizations or festivals, such as "Stéreolize" in Paris or the "Fucking Independent Festival" in Cologne. This time he’ll be mixing in an Electro Dark style influenced by "Drexciya", as well as more industrial sounds and leftfield techno in a pure criminalszat style.///DJ SET.
Is muziek essentieel voor jou? "Ja kan echt niet zonder!" Wat luister je dan? "Mwah, meestal zet ik gewoon de radio aan ofzo.." Pfffffff... En dan zette Bartje een stuk klassieke muziek op.. gelijk van die reacties "Blegh haha bejaarde muziek.." Tjah, ik houd er ook niet van, maar sta er wel voor open en kan het wel waarden als 'goede' muziek.
