Erg jammer dat die ooit uit elkaar zijn gegaan. Daarna hebben ze beide apart nog een paar lekkere platen gemaakt maar beauty of silence, twisted en hun airscape producties.

Die is al zo'n 2 maanden uit hoor! Die plaat doet mij wat denken aan Moontribe - Dance of the 7th hill (DJ Tiesto remix)
Veel lijstjes al voorbij zien komen. Mijn top 5 is:
1. Tiesto
2. Armin
3. Markus Schulz
4. Ferry
5. Paul van Dyk (al moet hij wel wat meer variatie in zijn liveset brengen)
Redelijk standaard maar dit zijn de dj's waar ik de dikste setjes van heb gehoord.
Had Digweed ook wel in je lijstje verwacht eigenlijk. Heeft meer laten zien dan bijvoorbeeld PvD in de afgelopen 365 dagen!

Had Digweed ook wel in je lijstje verwacht eigenlijk. Heeft meer laten zien dan bijvoorbeeld PvD in de afgelopen 365 dagen!
Was ook een moeilijke keuze hoor. Maar de stijl die pvd draait, spreekt me meer aan dan die van Digweed. Maar op basis van het afgelopen jaar heb je eigenlijk wel gelijk dat hij meer heeft laten zien. Blijft lastig dat kiezen.
Alleen nummer 1 en 2 zijn bij mij onomstreden.
Vreselijk offtopic maar voor mensen die het leuk vinden om wat vakantiefoto's te bekijken (Marmaris in Turkije) klik dan hier.

Zulke platen worden nog steeds gemaakt... Je bent Vida Nova van Svenson & Beam vergeten?.... Dat is voor mij DE plaat van 2008.... en in de lekkere stijl van The Beauty Of Silence, Twisted etc....

Overigens wel uniek dat een track wel uit is op vinyl, maar niet als mp3!
Naaah, niet super uniek hoor, er zijn nog genoeg labels die (waarschijnlijk de meeste puur uit principe) hun tracks alleen maar op vinyl uitbrengen en niet op CD of digitaal

En het is gewoon dezelfde tent als vorig jaar bij Armin, maar wat was het stukken beter aangekleed!! Prima decor! Gewoon vette shit! Ik vond de Armada tent vorig jaar al om te janken, als je nu foto's terug kijkt al helemaal! LOL wat een aanfluiting! Ook aankleding/show hoort gewoon bij een wereldartiest wanneer ze een area hosten. Armada prutsers

It means you don't have to learn how to make music at all, and you can spring from nowhere to sound really good straight away. People will think you are awesome and cool, and people who are now at step 1 in this program will add you to their MSN lists and ask you about their music all the time.
Two good artists to get to engineer for you are Sean Tyas and Deadmau5. Everyone wants to sound like them anyway, so you might as well save the effort and just pay them straight away.
It's also important at this stage to keep the big DJs on your side. Regularly email Tiesto to thank him for playing your track on Club Life. This means he'll keep playing your stuff, regardless of how many times you recycle the same sounds.

Die is best wel leuk... niet alleen stap 4, ook de andere stappen... Ik heb ze hier voor me, dus even cut'n'paste voor de mensen die ze nog niet kennen:
1. Get your own radio show.
This is important because it means you can believe you're a proper DJ, even if you only play for an hour a month to 6 listeners, most of whom are your friends from high school. It's important that you make a banner on your cracked version of Photoshop which says how awesome you are, and gives details of the show. It's also important that you post on every forum you can think of with a list of all the tracks that you're going to play that night.
2. Get some DJs & producers on your MSN list and spam them all the time.
This one is really important. It means that you can tell them every day that you have a radio show on www.whogivesashit.fm and ask them to send all the music they make to you, as soon as they finished making it, for free. It also means that you can ask them "Do you have DJ Awesome's MSN?" and then post it on your screen name "Can DJ Awesome please contact me" just to show how many cool people you know. If you manage to get a promo from them, don't forget to play it in your radio show regardless of how shit it is, and say the record label is [Artist CDR]. Producers can also be useful for other things, but we'll come to that later.
3. Learn to produce.
This one is optional, but we'll come to that in a minute. You can get a cracked copy of FL Studio really easily, and all VSTs have presets that sound exactly like Above & Beyond so don't worry about learning how to program synths properly.
Don't forget to spam all the producers you met in step 2 with your latest attempts at copying Above & Beyond or Deadmau5 and then ask them to give you loads of constructive feedback straight away. Also, don't forget to ask them to remix for you, demand to remix for them, and suggest collaborations with them at regular intervals.
Now, if you don't want to learn to produce your own music, use your producer contacts for step 4.

5. Write about yourself in the third person.
You've started to get famous now, even though you've not really done anything worth celebrating. Your Deadmau5 engineered track is being played on ASOT every week and people on the internet think you are the most promising young producer in the trance scene, even though you don't make the music yourself. Don't give in to pressure and tell people you use an engineer, simply write about how awesome you are on your myspace page, and pretend that someone else wrote it. You fucking beauty. Repeat steps 4 and 5 a couple of times and you're ready for step 6...
6. Move on to playing at clubs.
DJing is a very difficult thing to do. After all, beatmatching 2 tracks that both run at the same BPM is so difficult that people pay $50 just to see Tiesto get close to managing it. So now you're ready to play at clubs. Don't forget to look miserable while you play, because nobody likes a DJ to look like he's having fun. Also remember that you are far more important than anyone else in there, so feel free to run 30 minutes into the next DJs set, and ban anyone from the club if you don't like them.
7. Keep making the same style of track over and over again.
If you're paying someone else to engineer for you, just keep paying them and getting them to change the key of the tracks they are making for you every now and then to make it seem like it's something different. If, by some accident, you actually make music yourself, don't forget to keep using the same samples over and over again. Trance is recycled so often anyway it makes no difference and nobody will notice. By now all the big DJs know exactly who you are, so will doubtless play your music regardless if it's good or not. If some people complain that your music sounds the same, feel free to tell them to fuck off because you're more important.
8. Make more and more outlandish requests.
So you want 11 CDJs at each DJ gig, all of them held aloft by trained chipmunks? No problem. After all, you're making money from playing other people's music off CD so you deserve all the credit you're getting. People will worship the ground you walk on by now, so you're fully entitled to act like royalty. Don't forget to completely ignore all the people you used along the way to help to get you where you are. They aren't important now. You can continue to pay people to engineer music for you, so just make sure you choose someone who is vaguely popular at the time. You can also make more and more outlandish choices in your t-shirts, because everyone will think you're cool even if you turn up with "I AM A TWAT" written on your shirt. By now you've got all the drugs, women and fame you could ever want. Congratulations, you're now a fully fledged trance superstar. Enjoy your richly deserved success!!!
