Big thanks to everybody that danced the night away at the last Metrobass party, what an amazing atmosphere,
We have to say a massive thanks to the man like David Martzz who alongside Darren Roach and Boris Ross made the night an extra special event, the music was great, totally special :) !

Coming up for the next edition of Rotterdam’s favorite underground clubnight Metrobass, we are delighted and super pleased to announce for the first time ever in Holland, USA's true master of the minimal, tech house and electronic sound, direct from Dallas and celebrating his 33rd birthday with us, is none other than the man like "DEMARKUS LEWIS",

The last time Demarkus played an Organised Music event it was at the infamous Decadance club in Gent Belgium, he spun an amazing 5 hour set and had the whole place going crazy with even the bar staff and the security dancing on the bars and tables ! his Dj skills are unparalelled and his production stands out in a class of its own,

Throughout the beginning of his production career he had created his own sound with signature beats, chord structures and instrument choices. Releases on labels such as Aesoteric, Moods & Grooves, Bluem, Roam, and Alluv Recordings established DeMarkus as a respected deep house artist. Then in an attempt to expand his production tastes in the height of the tech-house rise, he released I Can Do What You Do on the Fuzzy Slippers EP on Flat & Round, a track that definitely pushed its self-entitled statement. Not only had he proven he could capture the techier edge of some of tech-houses leading artists, but he had done it remarkably well. The track was a WMC 2004 breakout hit. Suddenly DeMarkus was receiving heightened media exposure and commissioned for work on a wide range of labels including Nightshift, Slip N Slide, Vista, Brique Rouge, Grab, Nordic Trax, Freaked, Guesthouse and many others. Since then, his music has received support from Louie Vega, Boo Williams, Shur I Kan, Diz, Joshua(AKA IZ), Music For Freaks, David Duriez, Phil Weeks, Phonique,
Lady D, Hipp-e, Doc Martin, and DJ Heather to name a few.

As a DJ, there is no doubt that DeMarkus can work a crowd. In fact, promoters and venues worldwide have booked him repeatedly due to the overwhelming response he gets from the dance floor. This has also led to a monthly residency in Chicago at Zentra the first Friday of every month playing alongside Derrick Carter and Paul Johnson periodically.

He enjoys playing throughout the USA and the UK, Belgium, Russia, Spain, Canada, Brazil, Chile, Germany, France and Mexico. When he is not traveling he plays at his residency in Dallas on Saturdays at the Zubar, which brings in guests such as Johnny Fiasco, Jay-J, Iz & Diz, Jask, Jon Cutler, Andy Caldwell and many others.

Playing alongside Demarkus we are very pleased to have our good friend and one of Holland’s most excellent up and coming Djs, "SANDEEP" is well known in NL for his sets at clubs and festivals like Free Your Mind, Rockit , Solar, Off Corso, Winkel van Sinkel, and indeed the Catwalk, Sandeep releases his first EP on nightwork (RKS) this coming May 14th called Likewise , keep your ears open
for its warm minimal flavored, tech house sound, also bringing the Metrobass vibe on the night will be our very own residents , bad boy new school Rotterdam upstart "CISCO DE LA HOYA" and the beautiful and talented "FABIENNE SOIGNI", musical bliss for everybody :)

Metrobass is happening at the Catwalk Rotterdam, Saturday 10th May !

Enjoy the Music , Love your Life , Expression is the Key!
