Op 9 november vindt er weer een nieuwe Homebase plaats in Simplon, Groningen, dit keer met niemand minder dan de Jungle Brothers die ook nog eens J-Live met zich meenemen.
De Jungle Brothers, afkomstig uit New York, maakten furore tijdens het Golden Era van hiphop met hun unieke mix van hiphop, jazz en house. Eind jaren tachtig vormden ze samen met onder andere De La Soul en A Tribe Called Quest het alom geprezen Native Tongues-collectief en scoorden ze hits met nummers als Doing Our Own Dang en I’ll House You.
De muziek van de New Yorkse rapper, deejay en producer J-Live wordt gekenmerkt door soulvolle grooves en sterke teksten. Hij werkte samen met legendarische namen als Pete Rock, DJ Premier en de Wu-Tang Clan, bracht classic albums uit als The Best Part uit 2001 en staat bekend om zijn indrukwekkende liveshows.
Support is er zoals bij elk Homebase-concert van Deejay Irie.

Hailing from New York, the Jungle Brothers made waves during hip-hop's Golden Era with their unique blend of hip-hop, jazz and house. In the late 1980s, together with De La Soul and A Tribe Called Quest, they formed the critically acclaimed Native Tongues collective and scored hits with songs such as Doing Our Own Dang and I'll House You.
The music of New York rapper, deejay and producer J-Live is characterised by soulful grooves and strong lyrics. He collaborated with legendary names such as Pete Rock, DJ Premier and the Wu-Tang Clan, released classic albums such as 2001's The Best Part and is known for his impressive live shows.
There is support, as with every Homebase concert, by Deejay Irie.
