For the second edition of Tijdgenoten, De School is collaborating with LIMA and the Dutch artist Donna Verheijden. Donna Verheijden will be showcasing four of her video installations: Land of Desire – Happy is the New Black, All the World’s a Stage – Ways of Seeing 2013, Prison and Trompe L’oeil. The common thread in these pieces is the subject of identity and how we respond to different forms of media - whether it’s the crises we see on the news on a daily basis, the visual overload and staged reality of today’s mass media or the use of data-mining to influences our desires.
